The warrior allowed Sabbath to stay the night and the next morning he awoke in the Vulcan Hutch to the mournful sounds outside as another warrior had been found slaughtered.

" What has happened?"
" A chupacabra attacked us last night. Tufu was killed. " he said pointing to a small boy.

" It was not fooled by the cloaked shield. " Sabbath replied but then he noticed the boys chest raise. Dropping to the ground he began offering aide which caused panic to those around. A few minutes later Tufu was coughing and then sat up and asked for water.

" You touched the dead. Are you a healing being?"
" No he was not really dead. The creature must have knocked him unconscious. Tufu will be all right." Sabbath replied.

Looking up Sabbath saw two children standing with their mother. A boy older with short hair and tipped ears and a little girl standing beside their mother Navala.

" Navala? I thought you had left the village?" Sabbath stated.
" I wasn't going to see you Sabbath. But you saved Tufu and that made me realize you deserve truth This is Sabu your son."

Sabbath remembered the one time he had populated with the woman but never realized he had fathered a son with her.

" I am astonished to know this. I have a dilemma then. To stay or return to my duty in Starfleet."

" You deserved to know. Sabu is a welcomed member of this village but you are his father. " Navala stated.

A loss for words Sabbath said nothing as he watched Navala, the boy and daughter leave the area. Returning next back to the Vulcan Hutch Sabbath packed to leave.

" Where will you go Vulcan?" the warrior asked as he entered the Hutch. " I listened to your conversation with Navala. The boy is exceptionally smart but those ears have everyone believing he is a demon.:

" I am returning to my ship in the stars. I would disrupt what Navala is trying to do for the boy. Take this device it is called a communicator. If they ever need me tap this gold crest and speak to who ever answers. Tell them to find Sabbath.:

" I will Vulcan."


< Today >

Leaving the AWA was hard for Sabbath but he knew he had to. Now his focus was no longer on his failed relationship with Navala but rather for a son he didn't know he had.

Boarding the shuttle in Brazil Sabbath went to San Francisco for a day.

The next morning he boarded a courier head to Starbase Danvers but that trip would take two weeks at their fastest speed.

The adventures on the way to Danvers proved to help take his mind off of his situation.
