Kirk had been here years ago and Dr McCoy had found a cure of sorts for the disease that had killed the grown up.

Now one hundred or so years later the second generation of groups or grown ups had made it to the old age of normal 20th earth man.

Why had the Preserves mimicked Terra Earth so? Scientists had decided to stick around and find out all the genetic secrets of this 2nd earth.

Sabbath was very intrigued and found himself even wishing to go there and be a part of the findings and would have had he not accepted the position as science officer on the Amandora. But still he decided to keep up with their progress.

[ Lt Sabbath, thank you for calling me back. I got your last message and our researchers are using your premise to answer some of those anomalies. In fact on a southern continent we found one of the oblisc you mentioned. It would be so great if you could join us in person,"]Tabith Cane told Sabbath via a Comm link.

" Alas I will be reporting for duty soon. Please continue to send me your data. I still hope to help."

[ Of course but the raw data here is amazing. Sabbath we are looking at a Multiverse moment here. Beings once thought of as Gods replicated a whole star system and an exact Earth. The only anomali is the strange mutigenic disease that wiped out the adult population.]

" I will look at your data and get back in touch with you. Lt Sabbath out."

Sabbath studied his data and ended the day staring at the Preserve Obelisk found on the planet. Then by surprise he saw behind the structure a male humanoid .

" Who is that?" Sabbath said to himself.

Once again contacting the planet Sabbath contacted Dr Tabitha Cane again.

[ Don't tell me you changed your mind?]
" Not exactly. In the image of the Obelisk there is a male humanoid being. Who is that?"
[ He calls himself Flint. Very cordial but stoic. Do you know who he is?]

" Perhaps...Flint? Flint was reportably a significant character Captain Kirk encountered. He asked Flint to guide the original children through adult hood. He left when those children grew up and died of normal age. By why is he back?" Sabbath wandered.

[ No one knows. Flint comes and goes but he seems very interested in the Obelisk.]

" This may sound bizarre but the original sound used for the communicator is the same hertz used to open the Preserver Obelisk on Amerind. Take your team there and use that technique to try and open it." Sabbath instructed.

Tabitha Cane nodded but seemed confused by Sabbaths suggestion.

< A FEW hours later >

Tabitha Cane called back and immediately reported.

[ Sabbath you are a genius. It opened and Flint was inside. Apparently he is trying to use it to open an portal of some sorts. He says there are a Multiverse of these Earth's and that the Preservers have a link to them all.]

" Fascinating. You now have two mysteries to solve. I am glad I could help." Sabbath replied.

[ Me too Sabbath. I owe you one.]
