Mission: Shakedown II
Location: Sick Bay
Timeline: Current

ON:

No sooner had Kristian made the call to the bridge about it being cold in sick bay all the medical monitors went out and minutes later so did the lights plunging things into blackness. “Now what?” she muttered, reaching into the pocket of her lab coat for the small penlite flashlight she carried. Turing it on she headed to her office where there were a few battery operated lanterns were kept. Grabbing several thermal blankets Kristian returned to sick bay, turned on the lanterns and handed her staff the blankets.

“I don’t know how long power is going to be out, put these around you, put the lanterns around here they’ll give us about ten hours of light, I’m going to Captain Rivers quarters, that is if the doors are going to open,” Kristian said

“Why are you going there?” Betty asked

“Alesha Rivers is a fighter pilot and a good friend of mine. She keeps her fighter stocked with survival gear in the event she’s shot down. She told me in the case of an emergency to go to her quarters and get some as long as I tell her what I’ve taken so she can replace it,” Kristian said just as sick bay doors opened with a groan.

“And this is an emergency, I can’t get anywhere as the lifts just stopped working,” Alesha said grabbing a chair and propping the doors to sick bay open. I was lucky to get here.

"I'm glad I didn't try to reach your quarters then," Kristian commented,

“How bad is it?” Alesha asked covering her daughter with a blanket, "You'd never have made it."

“Ship is pitch black, and its getting cold,” Kristian said “From what I can tell too the ship is dead in space. We're adrift."
