Tara had been scanning the planet they were heading for. So far the scans showed the planet devoid of any life. No insects, birds or any animals at all. Puzzled she narrowed the sensor beams and continued to scan the planet.

Cyndi seeing the assistant science chief frown walked over to where she stood "Trouble?"

"Not really, I've been a lot of places, seen a lot of things during my years with Starfleet and this is the first time I've ever scanned a planet that is void if any life period, No insects, birds or any animal life," Tara said showing Cyndi her scans.

"That's damn strange. I see a jungle and such including several bodies of water," Cyndi commented.

"Commodore were nearing the planet," Helm announced,


"Continue scans lieutenant," Cyndi ordered as she turned to face the main screen. "Helm take us out of warp, standard approach and take us in,"

"Aye sir," helm responded "Standard orbit sir," helm announced a few minutes later.

"Any changes to scans lieutenant?" Cyndi asked

"None, scans still show no life of any kind except the jungle and various bodies of water. I do see some rocky terrain, any life disappeared years ago," Tara reported.

"Still worth taking a look," Cyndi commented "Download your scans and head to the conference room"
