Post Number 23-Good News For Jimmy

After checking out the away team, Kristian handed things off to her assistant and headed for her quarters and some much needed downtime. While she loved being the CMO there were times when she needed a break. Not to mention Jimmy needed some of her time. There had still been no luck in finding any of his family. Kristian had taken the boy in after the attack on the Starbase several months ago. All the time she’d been searching for any family he had and had come up empty. The commodore had no luck. Kristian had turned to her mother for help and Narla had come up empty.

Arriving at her quarters Kristian keyed in her access codes and walked in. Jimmy had been watching a movie. Seeing Kristian walk in turned off the move and ran over to her and enveloped her in a bear hug. “I take it you missed me?” she asked hugging the boy back.

“I did, I’m glad to see you,” Jimmy said. “Can I ask you something”

“Of course you can,” Kristian said as they walked over to the couch and took a seat. “What do you want to ask me?”

“Well, you, the commodore and your mother have not been able to find any of my family, Can I call you mom and will you adopt me and do you think your parents will let me call them grandma and grandpa?” Jimmy asked.

Kristian gave the boy a hug, took his face in her hands. “I’d be honored if you called me mum and I know my parents will be thrilled to have you call them grandma and grandpa. You also have an uncle. I have a brother who is on my home planet, his name is Rafffie. As for adopting you I’m already working on that.”

“Thank you mom,” Jimmy said looking at her. “Tara’s your cousin that means,?”

“We’ll explain all of that to you and what it means. We’ll explain it to you as a family.” Kristian assured him. I’m not sure if my parents ship is close enough for a visit to Starbase Danvers or not. If not we’ll find a time when we can meet. So why don’t we go to ten forward and grab a bite to eat.”

“I’d like that..mom,” Jimmy said as they headed out to ten forward.
