Mission:
Star Base Mercury
Location: Amandora Main Bridge
Timeline: Current
[ON]
Seated at his navigational console, Lieutenant JG Brian Hastings had a good feel for Amandora's controls. The Galaxy-class starship was a massive vessel and had many intricacies involved. Brian smiled to himself as he enjoyed checking through the data and schematics, as the Amandora had centered around Starbase Mercury. Hastings kept a standard orbit around the station, keeping in line of sight for fair transporter beaming to and from the station.
At the same time, he had an ongoing shuttlecraft bringing equipment to and from the Amandora.
"Shuttle Craft Baker, you are ready to dock in Main Shuttle Bay. Your tracking and navigation are now in line with the shuttle bay docking master, respond please." Hastings spoke to the Engineering Officers who were returning to the Mercury Station with some items.
=^= Shuttle Craft Baker here, thank you for your hospitality Amandora. Advised of automatic shuttle overrides. Shuttle Bay Dockmaster has confirmed, departure request. =^=
"Amandora here, mates. You've got full clearance, take er as she goes." Brian responded by confirming with the dockmaster via his conn channel.
=^= Shuttle Craft Baker, Signing out. Thank you for your hospitality Amandora. =^=
As there was a skeleton crew on board the Amandora bridge, Lieutenant JG Baker was taking the post of shuttle trafficking, along with the navigational controls of the Amandora. The Galaxy-class vessel was on a standard orbit readying to align the Main Shuttle bay with the docking bays of Mercury Station.
Checking through the standard protocols, Brian had flexed his large hand and cracked his fingers, an unconscious habit to do. He relieved the stress on his hands and stifled a yawn. Hastings had been on the helm for a while now and was about to work on some Saucer Separation analytics to study. Commodore Song had stated that it would be a good idea to test out a simulation of the Amandora readiness and perform a saucer separation in simm.
Brian had heard his stomach rumble from inside. He grunted, thinking to himself that as soon as his shift was over, he'd have to grab something to eat in the mess hall. He was craving something like spaghetti and meatballs.
Ensuring that the shuttlecraft had departed and the shuttle bay doors had compressed and sealed, Brian continued to watch on Shuttle Craft Bakers docking and undocking to the Mercury Station. All in all, it was a busy shift for him, as compared to other starships he had served aboard.
