Ltjg Odac Yova was in the Bajoran version of cloud nine as he pranced back down to engineering a changed man. Horton Clinton immediately noticed as he watched his younger peer assume the role at the main console.

" Computer log in Lieutenant jg Odac Yova, assistant engineering chief." stated the man.

[ Acknowledge. Welcome Assistant Chief.]

Horton snickered. " And if my mother had wheels she'd be a wagon."

" What do you mean Clinton. Somebody has to run this place. " Yova reacted.

" Don't get too comfortable. I have had more chiefs than you've had lovers. I suppose you want me to call you Chief?" asked Horton.

" Only when a senior officers present. Other wise it's Yova and I'll call you old vole." Yova joked.

" I sent you the reports on the ships last diagnostic. We are running at 96% . And before you say anything I'll get us to 99.9 some how."

" Me too old vole."

Yova then moved throughout department touching base with all of his mates

< Transporter Room 1 >

Eva Humphrey's was the main lady of transport on the Amandora. Studying under the greats in that field she could go toe to toe with anyone with the right equipment.

" Eva do you have a minute?" Yova greeted as he entered the transporter Room .

" Not now Yova. We could come out of warp any second and the transporter has to be manned." Eva replied.

" I have news. The Commodore promoted me to Assistant Chief. I just wanted you to know I'm not leaving." Yova told her.

" Well I am not saluting you sir ...Chief." Eva smiled.

" I do that everytime you come around anyways. If you need me I'll be on duty in the engine room." Yova replied.

They had been together a few minutes when the ship first launched. Yova had never forgotten that moment.

Yova returned back to the Bridge next and reviewed with the officer there . Looking around the bridge and the main screen he enjoyed watching the stars streaming by which meant his engines were working well.
