The first round of talks went well as the native humanoids and Furs used the newly made translator. But much more had to be done in diplomacy before a treaty with the Federation could be secured.

Viceroy headed to the parlimental hall and took the floor with Kuroth Tor.

Will Raymond rushed to Lt Herculoid’s side to gander at that fighter one more time.

Ellie was itching to talk to Will about what had been found at the ruins, but the matter was delicate and needed a private place to talk.

Nodding to the Lieutenant Will waited for Herculoid to make her arrival.

" Lt Kees thank you for all your help during all this." Will greeted.

Tara walked over to where the commander was, "That fighter still has your interest. Want to take a look inside?"

" I want to fly it Lieutenant. That thing is bitchin cool. Excuse me Lieutenant." Will replied.

"That can be arranged but I'll have to change the language on it from Amazon to Standard as it's in our language and there are only three on the ship who can speak or read it," Tara said opening a panel and entered the security code, tapping a button a ladder appeared "Climb aboard and take a look. I'll change the language on it later but you can take a seat in her."

Giving her the little boy " Really" look Will jumped into the cockpit. " Boy do I miss this. I gave up my wings and became a helmsman on the Washington. Worst mistake I ever made." Will added

“You’re XO now, that’s gives you the chance to do whatever you like within realm of your training.” Ellie smiled.

" Sort of but the Commodore like her crew to do their jobs first. " Will replied. " How do we fire this thing up?"

"That is true to a point lieutenant, but this fighter is not Federation. It's from my home world, it's Amazon, and in our language." Tara said climbing up and taking a seat on the edge of the cockpit, reaching in and a few commands later the console was now in Federation Standard. Tara pointed to two switches, "Flip the one of the left then the one on the right and this thing will light up."

Will complied and the magic began

"Your not going to fire the engines on it or the weapons, but you can see what our fighters are like. And it does cloak," Tara said

No sooner did this occur but the excitement grew a crowd.

" We have company." Will told them.

"They're curious, it's my bet they've never seen a fighter this close up," Kristian commented "It's a good thing there are alarms on it."

" Is that a war weapon?" asked an old male.

" It is a defensive weapon from our ship. The Federation promotes peace." said Will.

"It's also a means of transportation," Kristian said

"We better get out of it," Tara said quietly as she reached in and powered down the fighter and climbed down waiting for the commander to get out."

The crowd pressed as more joined.

" They are bringing more of these from their ship!" yelled one.

" Invasion!" yelled another as some began throwing items toward the shuttle.

Suddenly Lt Frau Erma ran up and fired her phaser in the air.

" That is far enough. Nothing to see here return to your homes....NOW!' she yelled. The crowd backed up and dissipated.

" These people are very fearful of everything. I want science to get with Kodos their head science dude and see what we are looking at with their technology. Once the Commodore gets back here she is going to want to begin the Federation enlistment process and these people are far from ready for that." Will told Herculoid and Kees

Once the commander had left the fighter Tara climbed back aboard and reset the computers back to the Amazon language, shut down the systems on the craft and engaged the cloak. Climbing down she set the proximity alarm and the security alarm on it. "Commander I've set the proximity alarm on it and as you can see it's cloaked. Anyone gets too close to it, there will be a warning sound. I think it's for the best. As far as meeting with their science people I'm more than ready."

" Good Kodos is over there." Will pointed.

Ellie looked in the direction that Will was pointing.

Kodos the Star gazer was the Chief of their science department. But it was more like meeting a druid monk from a earth comparative. He especially enjoyed carrying a round a Stargazer device and often looked up to view their suns position.

" Did you call for me Commander?" he asked smiling at Herculoid and Kees mostly

" Sir do you have time to meet with my science officers?" Will asked.

" Most certainly sir. Lt Keys I know but not you . Are you also a sci entity?" Kodos misspoke the term.

Tara nodded "Yes I'm a scientist and I'm here to help you along with Lieutenant kees in anyway we can."


As this occurred Will was summoned by Kuroth Tor to attend a meeting in the Viceroys chambers.

" Commander there is another problem. Once the Savai island collapsed the surrounding islands were placed on alert. It would seem the island called Predator had an escape. Predator is used to house criminals who can not live in the peaceful Savai's. Several prisoners are notable weapons users who made threats to destroy the Savai islands with explosives. A detailed map showed the island of Legitimate is their next target. The Viceroy asked if we could help track down these convicts? " Kuroth Tor asked.

" We will get right on this Mr. Tor." Will assured.
" I should hope do they are ruthless Commander. Banished to their own island. Now several are unaccounted for." Viceroy added.

Will exited that meeting and joined Herculoid.

" We have a problem...it seems one of these islands is the home of renegades. Several are unaccounted for and Viceroy believes they plan to do damage to this island and the accords.' Will told Tara.

"That would explain what we ran into in the ancient city," Tara commented.

" Is Dr Long ok? She and I both have had our marks on this mission." Will added.

Tara nodded "She's fine, it take a lot more than that to get my cousin down."

Kodos then found Ellie and tapped her shoulder.

"Hi remember me? I enjoyed our storm time Lieutenant. I almost wish another one was coming."

Ellie offered a polite smile, “It was interesting talking to you whilst we were sheltering.”

" I was hoping I would be more entertaining than that I am going back to the site to investigate the rubble. I was hoping you would come with me. Fresh eyes and such?" Kodos invited.

Ellie smiled warmly. “I’d like that, I’m sorry if I sounded like I didn’t enjoy your company. I enjoyed it very much.”

" The skiff leaves in a few minutes. Let's go now," Kodos suggested.

Ellie nodded. Accompanying Kodos to the skiff.

" I never looked at Furs as being sentient before you came along Ellie you...I mean your people are remarkable.”

Ellie smiled, “We’re just more used to these situations that’s all”

Kodos smiled as their skiff took off.

" Do you think I could visit your Federation Lieutenant? " Kodos asked Ellie

“I don’t see why not” Ellie smiled. “You don’t have to be a Federation member to visit Earth, or any of the member planets that have Federation facilities. Most welcome non member races.”

" When I go I hope you would show me around." Kodos hoped.

Ellie smiled warmly. “If I’m there at the time I’d love to, it all depends on where the ship is. We spend a lot of time in space.”

Kodos smiled as he was becoming very attached to Ellie's smile..
