Mission: Planet Savai
Location: Intel Office
Timeline: Current

Alister returned to his office and sat down in his chair leaning back as he processed everything that had been spoken of. “Petty Officer Fields, please report to my office,” he said tapping his comm badge. The Petty Officer reported promptly and sat down in the offered seat. “There has been a change of plans, you will be boarding the Iwo Jima with the Marines and attaching the repeater so the section can look at the ship’s computers, you’ll report to 1st Lieutenant Jackson and make sure you have a Marine escort, it’s going to be bad over there but I have complete trust in you to get the job done.”

“Thank you sir,” Fields said with a nod, “I won’t let you down, but may I ask where your team is going to be? I thought the plan was for your operations section to handle the boarding?”

Alister nodded his head, “After speaking with the Captain it’s been viewed that this mission should be mostly handled by the Marines and keep Starfleet personal to a minimum until the ship has been cleared of remains.”

Fields nodded his head, “I’ll make sure not to let the section down, sir.”

Alister smiled, “I know you won’t. You need to start getting ready it’ll be EVA gear. Please send my team in so I can go over the change of plans.”

“Yes sir,” Fields said standing up and walking out.

A couple of minutes later six intel staffers entered the office and took a seat or leaned against the wall looking at Alister. “Change of plans, I have spoken to the Captain and she is troubled by the Major’s insistence to do this mission solo. We are delaying until the Lee arrives and transfers over our equipment. I will be going over with the Major once the all clear is given the Captain will move the Amandora closer to the Iwo Jima. You will exit in infiltration gear out an airlock and proceeded to one of the Iwo Jima’s hull breeches and board the ship. Primary mission is to secure the Captain’s personal logs and then make a sweep of critical areas looking for any signs that someone else grabbed her before we got here. Try to grab the senior officers personal logs as well. Their will be no contact with the Marines from the Amandora full infiltration mode however I will make sure you have a complete list of challenge and responses. Air on the side of caution if it comes down to it, I do not want a blue on blue accident. If you think you’ve been spotted give the correct response the mission has the Commodore’s blessing so the Major can take it up with her if discovered.”

“We won’t be discovered,” the Trill Lieutenant JG said from her seat, “We know the gear the Marines have we’ll take all appropriate counter measures. Do you have a boarding plan for us?”

“No, the Major doesn’t want a deep scan of the vessel, you’ll have the ship's blueprints but from the damage she’s taken who knows what passages will be clear to move thru. It’ll be by the seat of our pants operation but if it was easy they won’t give it to us to accomplish,” Alister said from his seat pushing six PADDs across with the Iwo Jima’s deck plans. “I’ll leave you to mission planning you have thirty minutes after the Lee starts transferring gear till you depart out the airlock. I’ll leave you to your planning as I’ll still be going with the Major. Do not enter the ship until after the Marines start landing.”

“Will do,” came the response, “We’ll get the logs and give them to the Commodore when we return. Do we exit the same way we entered?”

“You can or contact the Lee for a beam off, Captain Jericho is smart enough to read between the lines and keep it quiet that you where aboard the Iwo Jima,” Alister replied answering the question, “I’ll leave you to your mission planning.” Standing up with a nod to the rest of his operations team Alister exited his office to go check on his chief code slicer and make sure that part of the operation was ready to go.
