Mission: Shake Down Cruise
Location: Various

Amethyst walked along the corridor of the ship, Kal was happiily walking at his mother’s side. They were ready early so to save Christina dropping to pick up Kal, Amethyst decided to drop him off. Arriving at Christina’s Quarters the doors opened to reveal Christina Justin her way out.

“Amethyst!” Christina smiled. “I’m not late am I? I thought I was on time.”

“No you’re fine Chrissy” Amethyst smiled. “We were awake early this morning.”

“Daddy stayed with us last night!” Kal grinned as he looked up at his nanny.

“Oh did he now?” Christina smiled as she looked at Amethyst. “I thought I heard his name mentioned but I figured I’d imagined it.”

“No, you definitely didn’t imagine it!” Amethyst smiled.

“In that case I’ll look forward to meeting him!” Christina smiled warmly. “I had plans to go and look for the school. I’m sure Kal would find it interesting to see where he’s going to be spending his time learning.”

Amethyst nodded. “I’ve got a few minutes so how’s about I walk with you?”

Kal nodded and smiled enthusiastically as he kept hold of his mother’s hand.

As they walked to the turbolift Christina looked apologetically at Amethyst. “I’m sorry I caused such a mess and fuss arriving early with Kal. We had chance to take that shuttle and he was getting desperate to be back with you...

Amethyst smiled as they stepped into the turbolift . “Hey it’s okay! There was some fault in the ship’s systems that misread the shuttle. Actually it was a good job I sensed Kal and yourself onboard, it stopped the shuttle being fired upon.”

Stepping out of the turbolift they made their way along the corridor towards where the school was. At present it wasn’t in use but as soon as Christina introduced herself to the Captain she was hoping to get the school up and running.

“Here we are” She looked at Kal. “Hows about we go and have some fun organising in here and let your mummy get to work?”

Amethyst crouched down and gave her son a big hug and a kiss. “I’ll see you later.” She looked up at Christina. “If there’s anything you need give me a call and I’ll see what I can do to help.”

“I will” Chrissy smiled and nodded as she offered her hand for Kal to hold.

Watching them head into the classroom Amethyst smiled, it was going to make serving aboard the ship all the more interesting with having Kal aboard. She didn’t have to worry about him being half way across the universe away from her. That and the fact that Will was aboard as well, which made their family complete.

Heading on her way she headed for the bridge, she wanted to spend some time taking advantage of having a seat on the bridge.
