Dr H'iri maintained the ships medical bay for two whole days before realizing she had not rested. Spotting the ships counselors couch available H'iri curled up and rested.

Amethyst headed to her office, she wanted to catch up on personnel files and make an appointment schedule for psyche evaluations. She walked into her office only to find her couch taken by an unexpected guest.

The purrs emitting gave the luster of a very tired kitty.

" Helllo Counssselorr. Sssorrry to invade yourr sspace but thesse physssicalsss have worn me out," purred the ginger before Amethyst.

" Forgivve my rrudeness I an H'iri, medical officerr and cool cat."

”Nice to meet you H’iri” Amethyst smiled. “And please call me Amethyst. Don’t worry about using the couch I’m not expecting any patients at the moment so you’re free to nap if you need to.”

" I am glad to havve anotherr female to hang with. I learrrned you were Betazoid and could sense yourr telepathy”

“That’s right” Amethyst nodded. “I didn’t realise Caitians were so sensitive to telepaths.” Amethyst settled down in a seat and made herself comfortable.

" Of course we arre. All higherr sspeciess arre, " H'iri replied. " But I do need an earr Counssselorr. My old beau contacted me and wantss to come see me. He is a scoundrel. But I love that in him." she yowled.

“Oh? If he comes to see you will that make you happy or will it cause problems for you?” Amethyst looked at H’iri curiously.

H'iri paused at the question.

" Both he is a rrogue but I melt when he visssits. Have you everr been in love ? she asked the Counsellor.

“Oh yes! I’m mum to a five year old.” Amethyst grinned.

" Motherrr? Ahh to be a,Motherrr with H'Rall's children." H'iri purred.

“Ah that mothering instinct, I know that only too well.” Amethyst smiled. “I’d like another child, a daughter that would be enough for me.”

" Purrrfect. Caitianss have litterrs though. Too sssoon."

Amethyst nodded. "Of course, how many do you usually have to a litter?"

" Two or threee."

“Twins or triplets, now that is a handful.” Amethyst smiled. “My son is five and he’s been a handful all by himself, that’s where it’s come in handy having a nanny to look after him while I’m on duty. She’s the new school teacher here aboard ship.”

" Good to know. " H'iri purred. " Ok nap overr. Time to worrk. Thank you I need a frriend on boarred." she added whipping her tail.

“You’re welcome” Amethyst smiled. “Feel free to use the office whenever I’m not in, it’s been nice getting to know you.”

Casually exiting H'iri walked back to sickbay excited to have made a new friend.

Amethyst smiled to herself as she went back to her files. It seemed she’d made a new friend.
