This was James first day back to work after a delightful shore leave. When he signed into his terminal he saw a report from Lieutenant Herculoid marked urgent. When he started reading the report he couldn't believe what he was reading "What the hell is wrong with these people! I'd expect more from Kees" he said with a disappointed tone in his voice.

Tapping his Comm "Lieutenant Herculoid, where are you; we need to talk. I just read your report" James said trying to stay composed.

Tara tapped her com-badge "I'm in my office, I assume you've seen my report. I'll be right there."

James waited not so patiently for Tara to arrive. They needed a face to face; this behavior by someone in his department was nothing short of appalling in his eyes.

Tara walked into James office a few minutes later, "I'd say good morning but considering my report it's not a good morning."

"Well you got that right. What the hell were they thinking pulling a stunt like that. They could be demoted in rank and for what a drink and a quickie" James said "Pardon my language but I'm very unhappy with Kees right now; she's a Lieutenant for crying out loud....she should know better."

"I have them confined to quarters. I think Kees is on the rebound from Kodos whom she met and fell for on Savai and was not happy he chose to leave and become a diplomat for his people. My recommendation is they both be demoted. But that's between you and Commodore Song. They both are lieutenants and to lock the office door just so they can get laid," Tara said "In all my years with Starfleet and even my home planet's military I've never had anything like this happen. It show how irresponsible they both are."

"Tara I couldn't agree with you more. As far as the Engineer goes that's the Commodore's problem; my concern is Kees. She couldn't be too much in love to do something like that when her man leaves for awhile. Maybe a demotion in rank is what she needs; a wake up call. At the very least she will be removed as a department chair; so we'll have to think of a suitable replacement in the near future." James concluded.

"She should also be given extra duties, something to really make her think of what she's done. Perhaps cleaning all the equipment in the main lab and the loss of bridge duties for a time" Tara suggested

James sat thinking for a moment "You know that's a great idea; I know there's a lot of glassware that can be cleaned and I'm sure all the microscopes and stereoscopes could use a good cleaning as well. That should keep her mind off inappropriate sexual encounters for awhile" he stated.

"That it will and hopefully this will teach her a lesson," Tara agreed

"I will get together with the Commodore and the XO and see how they want to proceed with this" James replied "So on a brighter note how was your shore leave."

"Shore leave was great, Doctor Long and I sorta broke orders where Rivers is concerned and the three of us headed to Earth for a few days and spent some time on the space station," Tara said "I even took in a science seminar at the academy."

James kind of chuckled at Tara's explanation "Now that's funny; Heather and I were on Earth also. We visited her parents in Drogheda, Ireland then went to Inverness, Scotland to see my folks. It was the first real shore leave that we have had in a long time."

"Same here and Alesha has never been to Earth, Kristian and i have not been back since the academy," Tara replied

"Yes, time has a way of slipping by. So other than our not so smart Lieutenant, I assume everything else has been going well" James inquired "From what I've observed we seem to have a top notch department."

"We do have a good department," Tara replied "Even the commodore has been in the lab doing some work."

"Yes I've noticed the Commodore in the Lab a few times working. I've taken up enough of your time and thanks for walking me through the situation; I'll get with the Commodore soon and see how things will be going forward." James said.

"I'll let you get back to work as well, I've got some data to go over and good luck with the commodore," Tara said getting to her feet.
