Timeline: Concurrent to leaving Earth/C and D

There was little time to make a decision but none the less it was made. Will was determined to stay with his wife and family despite all of this.

As the shuttle back to Earth waited on the hanger deck both Will and Amethyst made the sad decision to leave the Amandora.

Holding his wife Amethyst hand both walked into the ready room where Commodore Song was.

" Commodore thank you for seeing us. Given the current climate I have decided to take an extended leave of absence from Star Fleet and take Amethyst and the children home to Earth." Will informed his commanding officer.

Cyndi looked between Amethyst and her first officer "What is bringing this on?"

" A series of events occurred during the last few weeks resulting in learning my wife carries the child of another man. Out of respect for Amethyst I ask for you to accept our leave of action request until we can rebound and be able to serve 100 percent," Will exclaimed.

“In all fairness Commodore, I am not of right mind to serve as Counselor aboard ship at the moment.” Amethyst hung her head in shame. “I have requested a replacement Chief Counselor, someone I know that will do you proud.”

"I don't want to see either of you go," Cyndi said the sadness clear in her voice.

“It’s what’s best Commodore” Amethyst offered a brief smile. “Thank you for all you’ve done for us.”

"You two change your minds let me know. I wish I could talk you out of this. I hate to lose Will as my first officer. I'm beginning to think accepting the promotion to commodore was a mistake," Cyndi said.

" We all have choices Commodore. This is one we have made for our greater good." Will replied .

"Yes we all have choices, are you sure this is the right one? You both have promising careers with Starfleet," Cyndi responded.

" We will be fine Commodore. Our shuttle has arrived ." Will then added.

Cyndi stood "I'll walk you to the shuttle bay," she'd already sent word to have the officers line the corridor leading to the shuttle bay "Are you sure this is what you both want? There is still time to change your minds"

Will looked to Amethyst for the last words.

“It’s what we need right now Commodore, to get away and start anew.” She looked at Will. “To be a family.”

Cyndi nodded "I understand, my son is on Klavor and while I miss him he's safer there. If you change your minds your good to come back."

Both nodded and exited the bridge for the last time.
