Posted on Tue Jun 15th, 2021 @ 6:31pm by Commodore Cyndi Song & Lieutenant T’Mia Rahl

Mission: Mission Guardian Shield
Location: Ready Room
Timeline: Back Post Before The Start Of The Mission

Having arrived onboard the USS Amandora in something of a rush T’Mia straightened her uniform as she stood in the turbolift. She wanted to make sure she looked presentable for her new CO especially as she was a Commodore in rank. Stepping out of the lift she moved swiftly across to the Ready Room door and pressed the chime.

Cyndi minimized the report she'd been working on "Come in," she called

Walking inside T’Mia offered a polite smile as she handed over a PADD. “Lieutenant T’Mia Rahl Reporting for duty Commodore. I’m your replacement Chief Counselor. Starfleet saw fit to grant the request from Amethyst Raymond for my services here aboard the Amandora.”

"Please have a seat," Cyndi said nodding to a chair in front of her desk as she accepted the PADD. "Amethyst did mention she had someone in mind but that was all. I was just informing Star Fleet Command about the loss of the chief counselor and my first officer. You must have pass them as they've only been gone a few minutes."

“I must have missed them by the finest whisker then ma’am” T’Mia smiled. “I was already on the Starbase when I received a priority message with these orders. Amethyst must have fast tracked her request to Starfleet as replacements don’t usually get a green light this easily.”

"No that they don't, it usually take a bit," Cyndi agreed "Welcome aboard, have you managed to find your quarters yet?"

“I went straight to my office, and dropped off my bags then came straight here, so no not yet.” T’Mia smiled. “I plan to do just that next. I thought it best to report in first.” She tucked her hair behind her pointed ears.

"You were lucky to have found your office so quickly as this is a big ship," Cyndi commented "Your quarters are not far from the counseling office, I try to keep medical close to their respective departments."

“Finding my office was pretty easy. “T’Mia smiled. “It seemed logical that it would be near Sickbay so I headed to the medical deck. I’m not your usual Vulcan but I do find logic useful from time to time.”

"Your one of the very few Vulcans who smile as most don't show emotion," Cyndi commented as she turned to her computer and brought up the crew manifest, typing in a few commands. Cyndi turned back to T'Mia "Your logged in and an offical member of the crew. The Chief Medical Officer is Doctor Tore Bjorgo and the Assistant is Doctor Kristian Long." Cyndi handed her a PADD "This is the location of your quarters and the code to the door. Change it once you get there."

“I will thank you Commodore” T’Mia offered a warm smile. “As for my emotions, I chose not to purge them, much to my father’s displeasure. Although he would say he doesn’t feel annoyance. I prefer to be emotional instead of emotionless, though I do possess the ability to suppress my emotions if needs be.”

"Your one of the few Vulcans who have chosen not to purge them," Cyndi agreed "Do you have any questions for me at this time?"

“I don’t think so ma’am, I’ll catch up on the last few departmental reports for any information I might need.” T’Mia offered a smile.

"You have any questions let me know. Lieutenant Raymond ran a good department there," Cyndi said.

“Of that I've no doubt Commodore, Amethyst was always an organized person. She asked for me so I’m grateful to her, and to Starfleet for offering me this opportunity. I won’t let you down.”

"I'm looking forward to working with you," Cyndi replied "I'm sure your tired so unless there is anything more take the rest of the day off, get used to the ship and get settled in."

T’Mia smiled warmly, “That will be wonderful, thank you Commodore. I’ll let you get on with your work.” She stood ready to leave.

Cyndi stood and walked from behind her desk "Believe me its a welcome distraction. The paperwork never ends."

“That is so true!” T’Mia nodded. “Infact it seems to get more complicated and long winded.”

"It comes with the demands of command," Cyndi said "I get reports from more than just this ship."

“Ahh of course!” T’Mia nodded.

"If there's anything you need let me know," Cyndi said

“I will ma’am thank you” T’Mari nodded and left Cyndi to her work.
