#9 A new assistant

"I go! I can help!" Nira raised her voice, getting near to shouting at Tore in the labs. A few medical staff were within, seeing to their duties. When she gave the outburst they all stopped what they were doing and looked her way, eyes dancing back and forth between Doctor and guest.

"Apologies, folks. Give us a minute?" Bjorgo gave a grin and nod to his people, who nodded in return as they left the labs. He turned his attention back to the Puazi female. "That is the last time you raise your voice at me, in my domain! Do I make myself clear?"

Nira wilted a bit, realizing she had overstepped. "Seh seh." She nodded. Then, she started in again. "Take me to this place. Let me see, be envoy I am meant to be. I am warrior and explorer, like the rest of you."

The trilled R's and Slavic/Spanish accent remained, no matter how much she spoke normally. Tore liked it, it was who she was. He looked into those pleading eyes, giving a sigh as he closed his eyes a moment to collect himself. Bjorgo's baby blues opened and he gazed at his guest. "Fine, I'll add you to my medical staff. BUT," his left hand came up with his index finger raised. "You listen to what I say, as your chief. If you cannot do that I will have Security bring you back to the ship. Capiche?"

Her brow scrunching, Nira gave a quizzical expression. "What is this 'capiche?'."

"It means; do you understand."

Nira stood up tall and squared her shoulders. "Seh seh. You are Chief and Boss. I get my things." She spun about and headed off, and he could see the excitement in her gait. He really hoped he wouldn't regret this. His people came back in and he gave them an apologetic look. "Sorry for the disturbance, people. See you later." Bjorgo left the labs, crossing through Sickbay as he headed out into the corridor on Deck 7.
