#13 Past connections

Arriving back in Security proper Kelliza made her way to the tactical readiness niche. This was the small tactical area similar to that found on the Defiant class, where Security officers and other combatants could discuss current situations and how to respond. Putting herself in a back far corner of the are, able to see anyone approaching from her left, Liza began to call up protected and classified files from her past lives. She sought one in particular; Tamar. Tamar had been a civilian scientist who had worked on numerous projects for the betterment of all species, not just the UFP. This altruistic attitude earned him respect from both the Klingons and Romulans. As such he had become an envoy to both governments.

It had been a long time ago, but Romulans and Klingons were both long-lived, and their memories just as lasting. Kelliza was sure some of those she had dealt with back in the day were still alive, and after twenty minutes of going through her personal files she had found a way in. An old friend was running a mercantile business from the planet, and as a Romulan, the informant would be able to get her up to speed on the political situation from the Romulan point of view. However, Romulan merchants weren't as gung-ho as their military counterparts, and quite a few were as independent as they could be without drawing attention to themselves. If nothing else it would give Kelliza time to catch up with, and reconnect with, some old contacts. Shutting down the files and relocking them under her personal security codes, Liza called her officers over for a meeting around the data table.
