Suvak was very taken back by the recent events with Amethyst Raymond and Odac Yova. She had yet to confess to the Commodore her involvement which now manifested as her conscience was beating down on her.

Returning again to sickbay Suvak noticed a new face in Amethyst old office.

" Have I come at a bad time ? " Suvak asked as she entered.

“Not at all Lieutenant... Suvak isn’t it?” T’Mari offered a respectful nod. Around other Vulcans she relied more on her Vulcan side than on her Betazoid one.

"Yes . I learned that you had come aboard as well. I have found myself in a bit of an issue Counselor. Recently and still I am undergoing premature Pon'farr . As you may be aware when this occurs we are not always able to cope given our surroundings. Mine occured and I mind melded with the previous Betazed Counselor only find out she had received the passion. This resulted in some illicit behaviors. She then became pregnant and resigned her role here along with her husband who is not the father. All of this was my fault. I have not reported my actions however and need your unbiased guidance." Suvak confessed.

T’Mia nodded as she listened. “I understand only too well the power of Pon’farr, it makes even those of us who are half Vulcan act completely out of character.” She motioned for Suvak to sit down. “Is there no one onboard that could... assist you with the Pon’farr? Do you have a mate?”

" The medications are available and help. My mate is on Vulcan. In five years we wed." Suvak replied

“Medications May help to a point, but as you know the burning of the blood caused by Pon’farr only increases until you either meditate through or you bond with your mate. Is he not able to join us? Or could you not travel home to be with him until Pon’farr passes?” T’Mia looked at Suvak curiously.

" I just joined the Amandora. I can not just leave so soon. The passion that Amethyst endured was mine. I do not have such urges now as I transferred them to her via mind meld. Alas my grief is that I did this to such a good person I'll prepared. This why I have sought you out being half Vulcan." Suvak added.

“Given the mental effects of Pon’farr you are not to blame Suvak” T’Mia offered a reassuring smile. “You did what your natural urges drove you to do. As you know the urges are... powerful and tend to cloud rational judgement.”

" Agreed. The emotions of grief are also disheartening. Should I confess my role in all of this to the Commodore? If so I might need you to come with me to clarify this as she is a non Vulcan and may not understand." Suvak replied.

“If you are willing to accept your part in this then I think it best to be honest” T’Mari nodded. “I am more than happy to accompany you, or I can call her here?”

" It is imperative that the truth come out. I owe that to Amethyst." Suvak replied.

T’Mari nodded. “Very well.” She tapped her comm badge. “Rahl to Commodore Song, could you come to my office please? There’s someone who needs to speak with you.”


Tapping her com-badge "I'll be right there," Cyndi said as she headed for the counselor's office "What can I do for you and Suvak?"

Suvak stepped up.

" I asked the new counselor to mediate for me. I am responsible for what happened to Lt Amethyst Raymond. I came to her during the beginning of my Pon'farr. We engaged in a mind meld and my passion transferred into her. This resulted in the relations between she and Lt Yova and the pregnancy. There is mitigation involved due to the Pon'farr but ultimately I am responsible. " Suvak admitted.

"I'm not overly familiar with Pon'far, but I know Vulcan males must endure it every seventh year of their adult lives. I didn't know females dealt with it. I've never had a mind meld but I also understand how personal to the Vulcan's they are. I read Dr. Longs report so let me understand this tangled mess. Lieutenant Suvak your the reason Lieutenant Raymond slept with Lieutenant Yova and got pregnant by him thus resulting in her resignation from the ship along with her husband?" Cyndi asked.

“That is what Lieutenant Suvak is saying Captain” T’Mia nodded. “Pon’farr is a condition that effects females as well as males, even half Vulcan’s such as myself have to contend with it.”

"You mean to tell me that Lieutenant Raymond sleeping with Lieutenant Yova, breaking her marriage vows and getting pregnant by another man is all your fault?" Cyndi asked "I also know Doctor Long wanted Amethyst to take a few days off but instead they both resigned because of all of this."

“In all fairness Captain Amethyst and her husband needed time to repair their relationship, at least that’s what she told me.” She looked to Suvak waiting for her to speak in her own defence.

" As a woman you know there are issues we seem as private. For Vulcans the Pon'farr is personal and private. Mine was triggered early according to the age spread of Vulcans. Either way I am responsible and offer myself for what ever discipline you seem fair " Suvak added.

"I'm not sure what form of discipline this warrants. What I would like you to do is limit the amount of mind melds you do. I know they are personal. Only use them when absolutely necessary," Cyndi said "I also want you to send a message to the Raymond's and apologize to them for this."

" I did to Amethyst but will do so to the Commander. Thank you Commodore for understanding my dilemma." Suvak replied.

"And next time the Pon'far hits you try working out your frustration in the holo-deck," Cyndi suggested.

" That is seven years from now " Suvak replied.

"I hope you've learned something from all of this," Cyndi said "Your getting off with a stiff warning."

" I have Commodore. I do apologize. Counselor thank you for your help also." Suvak answered.

T’Mia nodded. “It’s my pleasure Suvak, if there’s anything else I can do to help you please don’t hesitate to ask.”

Suvak sort of bowed her head then exited the room .
