{Quarters}
After James got out of bed, he made his way into the shower to help himself wake up. When his shower was finished he dried off then he dressed in his uniform to start his day.
When James arrived in the Kitchen, Heather had ham and eggs along with some nice hot coffee waiting "Good morning sweetheart" James said then gave her a kiss "Good morning to you too" she replied and kissed James back. The two sat and enjoyed their breakfast together.
"So what's on your agenda for today" Heather asked.
"I'm going to setup the Science Station with my algorithm to see if we can detect cloaked ships or not. First Lieutenant Rivers is going to fly her fighter out around the Ship cloaked to see if we can detect it" James explained "And what are you up to today."
"Sounds complicated, I hope it works ok. I'm going to do some research for Tara" she replied.
James noticed his shift was about to start "Gotta run, I'll see you tonight" James said then gave Heather a kiss good-bye.
{Bridge}
When James arrived on the Bridge he walked over to the Science Station and proceeded to upload the algorithm into the Panel. Once finished James made some adjustments; now he would hope for the best.
Tapping his Comm "First Lieutenant Rivers, this is Lieutenant McTavish."
Tapping her com-badge "Go ahead lieutenant," Alesha responded giving her fighter a final flight check.
"I'm ready to start the tests anytime you are. If you could start on the Port side of the Ship, then we'll go from there" James explained.
"Because we're at warp I'll launch then cloak," Alesha said and after getting permission to launch and headed out into space, firing the thrusters to match the speed of the ship. "Lieutenant cloaking now," with that she engaged the fighters cloak and proceeded to the port side of the ship taking care to match the speed of the Amandora.
Once Alesha was in position James started the Parametric scan. He watched the Science Panel but no ship was detected "Oh boy" James muttered as he started to make adjustments to the algorithm. Still no detection; at this point he was getting a little flustered. There was one more adjustment to try; if that didn't work then his theory was just that...theory. After making his final adjustment James noticed something on the screen....the fighter.
He was elated to see the theory had now been turned into reality "First Lieutenant Rivers, I have your ship on my screen; go to the next point and hold" James asked.
"Acknowledged," Alesha replied as she moved to the next point matching course and speed of the ship "How about now?"
James checked the scan and the fighter showed up just fine "Yes Alesha your Fighter showed up with no problem" he replied. So the Fighter moved in a few more locations around the Ship and the scan found it every time. "Alesha I'm satisfied with the tests; so you can return to the Flight Deck; I'll meet you there. I'd like to see your Fighter first hand if the offer still stands" James said.
"Dropping cloak and returning to the ship," Alesha said "Yes the offer still holds. I'll see you in the hanger bay." Dropping the cloak and swinging to the rear of the ship. The tractor beam engaged and the fighter touched down in the hanger bay. Alesha shut down the fighters engines, tapping a few commands the computer switched over to Federation Standard. Climbing out she secured her helmet and waited for James to arrive.
{Hanger Bay}
James left the Bridge and made his way to the Hanger Bay being quite excited to see a Fighter up close and personal. When he walked onto the Deck he saw the Fighter with Alesha standing beside it. He walked over to Alesha "Wow...now that's impressive" he commented.
"Climb aboard, I've switched the computer to Federation," Alesha said "This is the newest design in the Amazon Fleet and a gift to me from my dad." tapping a panel the ladder folded out.
James just smiled at Alesha then climbed aboard. He was amazed at what he was seeing; Alesha left the power on so everything was lit up. It was like a whole Tactical Station was made smaller and squeezed into a Fighter; there was also Flight Control Panels. "Man this is something, you must be some kind of genius to actually fly this thing" he stated.
Alesha climbed up and took a seat on the edge of the fighter "I learned to fly these at ten, dad said I was a natural. This will fire cloaked. Not something I admit to, to just anyone. So any questions?" as she explained some of the equipment on the fighter.
James just looked around the cockpit, scanning all the different panels, being totally in awe "I wouldn't even know where to start with questions.....all I can say is this is very impressive....and I have a whole new respect for what you do Alesha" he replied being quite sincere.
"Thank you," Alesha said smiling as she reached in and shut down the fighters systems "It takes a long time to learn to fly one of these. My dad kept me in a simulator for a few weeks before he turned me loose in an actual craft. I love what I do. I'd not change anything."
James just smiled and proceeded to climb out of the Fighter, then turned facing Alesha "Thanks for showing me your Fighter, I really enjoyed the experience and thanks again for helping with the tests" he replied "I should be on my way; have a nice rest of your day." Then James turned and left the Hanger Bay to make his way to his Quarters.
