Post Number 1 What The Hell Is Tat?

Posted on Mon May 11th, 2020 @ 5:02pm by Commodore Cyndi Song & Lieutenant Tara Herculoid PhD

Mission: The Restroffs (Space Spiders)
Location: Bridge
Timeline: Current

OFF: This will begin our new mission. There should be something for everyone to post to. Numbers revert back to 1. The Amandora while on the way to begin to explore the Sagittarius Sector encounter a large spider web that is woven between three planets that are miles apart.

ON:

Tara had come onto the bridge and had taken her seat at science and began to check sensors and run routine scans. So far things had gone smoothly minus a few glitches with a new ship. But that was to be expected.

Tara had been watching sensors for nearly an hour when something caught her attention. “Captain can you come here a minute,”

Cyndi walked over to where the science chief was seated “What’s wrong?”

“That captain depends on a few things. Are you afraid of spiders?” Tara asked “Unless the sensors are acting up again and I doubt they are as I spent the better part of yesterday adjusting them. I’m reading a giant spider web dead ahead. It’s stretched between three planets in that solar system ahead.”

“On screen,” Cyndi ordered

Tara adjusted the sensors and brought the image up on the main screen, magnifying the images it clearly showed a large tightly woven spider web that spanned between three planets that were miles apart.

“All stop,” Cyndi called out as she pointed to several things that appeared to be trapped in the web. “Herculoid magnify that section, I want to see what that is.”

Tara nodded and increased the magnification several more times “Captain it looks like ships caught in there, and they appear to be wound up in the webbing. There is no telling how long they’ve been there.”

“We’re not going to be next either,” Cyndi said “Full reverse, get us out of here, Herculoid check aft sensors,” Cyndi ordered

Tara switched the sensors to aft “Helm don’t move!” she yelled “Captain there are spiders coming at us. I can’t tell what they’re made of but they are alive.”
