Will bright and early arrived on the bridge to assume watch from Captain Redex. Wanting the ship to be in grand fashion for the Captain today Will went station to station checking to see all systems were operational. Scanners had been fixed and fresh crew manned their posts.

Cyndi stepped onto the bridge carrying a large thermo-mug of coffee, walking to the science station Cyndi checked the sensors and nodded to the officer manning it. Herculoid wasn't due on for a couple of hours yet. Turning Cyndi made her way to the command area and took the center seat picking up several PADD's as she sat down and placed her coffee in the cup holder, Turning to Will " Anything I need to be made aware of?"

" Just day 2 Captain. I am anxious to see how the engines perform today. Lt Clinton promises to be on his best behavior." Will replied.

"He better be, the way he talked to Intel Officer was way out of line. She's a member of this crew and is to be treated that way," Cyndi said.

" We are still in range to have him return to Saturn base Captain if you prefer. I looked into his record and he does have an introverted posture. The only problem is he was the closest engineer available." Will replied.

"It will do him good to follow orders and learn to work with other races for a change," Cyndi said.

" Helms manned but we don't have a chief as yet either. With Clinton and Centurion covering engineering I can step over to cover flight control if necessary. " Will replied.

"I'm also certified to pilot a starship," Cyndi commented. "Just remember one thing where our centurion is concerned. She's Intelligence, granted she's skilled in engineering but she is Intel."

" Captain, respectfully, is it smart to have a Romulan exchange officer in charge of Intelligence? This is a Star Fleet vessel. No formal treaty has been signed that I am aware of" Will replied off the cuff.

"She'd not be here if Starfleet Command didn't think she was trustworthy. True we have no treaty with the Romulan Star Empire but this will go a very long way in gaining trust between us. There is one member of this crew who does have a reason to be leary of the Romulans but they also have a signed treaty with them. I have every confidence in her," Cyndi replied

" This is your command and your ship. It is my job as your XO to voice concerns. I wouldn't be a good one if I didn't. If you trust her then so,be it." Will replied.

"And I respect your concerns. I do trust her, she's given me no reason not to," Cyndi commented "But your concerns are noted."

Will slowly exhaled after voicing his concerns. The ultimate goal was to launch the Amandora and see that their missions were a success.

" One other important subject is when do we start our first mission?"

"I've not received any orders, so we're just going to keep on our presant course to the Sagittarius Quadrant and see what lies out there. It's never been explored and we're the first ship to be sent there," Cyndi replied.

" Great I love a challenge. Sagittarius huh? That zodiac will surely have its mysteries."

"That and then some," Cyndi commented
