Yova was very pleased to be making these repairs along side Horton Clinton. But he also longed to quickly get back to his new bride .

" Look chief we just started so give an old horse some slack." said Horton.

" No slack. I have to be done by tomorrow. I left something burning back home." saud Yova.

" What that new wife if yours?" joked Clinton.

" Actually yes." smiled Yova.

" Women are like soda pop. Cold and chilling."

“Not this one!” Ellie smiled at Clinton as she stepped up behind the two. Ellie grinned as she looked at Yova. “Hi honey I’m home!”

Yova was dirty with coellescent oil.

" My love." he said kissing her oddly on the ear.

Ellie grinned. “Just look at the state of you. I’m not here to get in the way, I just got a little bored so I thought I’d come up here and wait for you.”

" But what about Scotland? I just have to get the ship straightened out and then we can return for our...honeymoon." Yova replied.

Horton chuckled ," Whipped" or something like that.

Yova cleaned his hands and ran back to kiss and love on his new wife. " Ahkayah, is it really you?' Yova replied.

“Of course it is silly!” Ellie grinned as she looked at Yova. “The house is waiting for us, that I promise you. I just wanted to come up and be with you while you were still here.”

" We have all kinds of repairs. I met with the Commodore and I want that Chief Engineer slot. We've got this Ellie. "

Ellie nodded. “In that case I’ll get out of your hair, it sounds like you’re going to be a while so I might as well go back home and wait there.”

Yova felt wounded. He was damned for caring about his future but he was upset to be letting his beautiful wife leave too.

" Wait stay aboard and we can do dinner on Mars. Utopia is an awesome universal diner." said Yova.

Horton then interrupted.

Hull breach on deck ten sir."

Ellie nodded. “Okay I’ll stay, you go get that hull breach sorted.”

Yova kissed Ellie as Horton ran past with a repair case.

Who or what ever had done this had not cared which way their explosives and bombs had went.

< A few hours later >

With that repair behind them Yova rushed back to see where his beloved had gone. Ten Forward was still open so Yova started there.

Ellie was sitting in her favourite spot in the window, looking out on the stars. As the doors opened she looked across happy to see her beloved husband walk through the doors. “Yova!” She waved him over.

Rushing over he tripped and landed in her lap.

" Oh that's for later. Hello wife...." he smiled. Sitting down he then leaned for a kiss.

" I have so missed you. One more day and we should be done. The station engineer's will probably change out everything I've done any way."

“Well if they do I’d complain! You’ve put in a lot of work” Ellie smiled. “To be honest I was lonely without you, at least here I’ll be with you tonight and not down on earth alone.”

" I love when you get defensive Counselor. Let's eat a snack and then slide back to your cabin... wife." Yova replied.

“What about our cabin?” Ellie grinned. “We’re going to need quarters together from now on.”

" Good point. " Yova answered. " I have to bunk up with Horton Clinton. Is a science officers quarters big? We can make it work we only need one bed."

“True, but now we’re married we qualify for married couples quarters, or even family quarters.” Ellie grinned. “I take it you’ll want us to have a family at some point?”

Yova grinned..." Uh yes. I also took liberty and asked the Commodore to perform a ceremony for us. I hope that is ok. It doesn't diminish our ceremony in Scotland... you're mine Ellie Kees."

Ellie smiled. “That’s wonderful, are you sure you want to take my name as your married name? It is unusual for the man to change his name.”

" In my culture the surname is first . Thinking about that Let us keep our own names. We are married either way." Yova replied.

“I know but I want to change mine to reflect that, from now on I’m going with Ellie Kees-Odak.” She smiled warmly.

< A few hours later >

Yova and Horton and the other teams cleaned and repaired the ship. This allowed the refit teams less to do for the upgrades.

Quickly shuttling back to Earth Yova held Ellie's hand until touch down in Inverness just as the sun rose.

" This is our home my love. I want to buy a flat here and call this ours. I have three bars of gold plated latinum." Yova told her.

“Three bars of latinum combined with some of mine will get you a small house here, especially in the outer quieter suburbs. Let’s go look and see what’s available.”

" We have to do this quickly because the repairs won't take more than a day or two. " Yova replied.

Ellie nodded. “Then it’s a good job I already started looking.” She grinned. “There’s a place on the outskirts of town with a view over Loch Ness that I’ve fallen in love with!”

" Lock..Loch ness? That means water right? Let's hover over and see it. Wait isn't that the monsters area?" Yova joked. Inside he was all about their future plans. Two of his five year enlistment was done which meant in three years he and wifey would be settling down on Loch Ness.

Ellie laughed. “Even now the stories of the Loch Ness Monster still exist, Nessy is a legend. The Loch itself is something to be seen, I adore it!”

"We had minsters on Bajor but they were real. They were called Guls and they were Cardassian." Yova replied.

Ellie gave Yova a curious look, “What do Guls and monsters have in common?” She held up her hand. “Don’t bother to answer that, I’ve heard plenty of horror stories from the Cardassian war.”

Yova pushed his plate away as his appetite had changed. The last thing he ever hoped to see was a stinking Cardassian again.

Ellie frowned. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to upset you.” She pushed her own breakfast away no longer hungry.

" But that was long ago. Now we are here and have our whole future ahead." Yova said as he leaned in for a kiss.

Ellie met him half way giving him a romantic kiss. “I’m happy as long as I’m with you Yova.”

" It is a good thing we are married then." Yova smiled.
