After seeing the admiral to the air lock Cyndi walked into her ready room puzzled as to why there was a visitor there that she knew nothing about. When the door opened it took only a second to realize who was there. “General what do I owe this to?”
“I’ve read your reports on Major Hurd and to be honest he has me concerned,” Narla said “He does not know I’m here and I want to keep it that way. I’ll be dressed in civilian attire.”
Cyndi took a seat in one of the chairs facing her desk as the general was behind her desk. “The major is a hot head, I’ve ordered him to go to anger management sessions with the councilor and to my knowledge he’s not done so.”
Narla nodded “That is a problem as well, I’m going to wander the ship observe things and order my daughter, niece and Alesha not to let on I’m here. Outside of you and if you chose to tell Commander Kahn I’m here and to keep it quiet my presence will be known to you, my daughter, Tara and Alesha and as I’ve said your XO if you chose to tell her.”
“I’ll fill her in general,” Cyndi said
“Please call me Narla, and no despite the regs as senior officer I’m not taking command. The fewer people who know I’m here the better. You can of course Cyndi tell your husband I’m here.”
Cyndi grinned “I planned to tell him.”
“Paul’s a good man and was damned fine officer right up until he retired,” Narla commented “When I’m ready to let the major know I’m here I’ll have you along as this is your ship.”
“I’ll give you full access to anything you need Narla, I do assume you know about my orders.”
“I do, Katrina told me when I came aboard with her and I came right here to wait for you,” Nalra said
“I have VIP quarters for you, I keep one set ready just in case they’re needed,” Cyndi said
“Thank you Cyndi, I’m tired and even though I came with my husband on his ship I’d still love to get some rest,” Nalra said getting to her feet. “I didn’t mean to take over your office.”
“Think nothing of it Narla,” Cyndi replied getting to her feet and leading the way out of her office. Stepping into the lift they arrived on deck two where Cyndi led the way to the VIP quarters, keying in her access codes Cyndi stepped in followed by Narla.”
“Thank you Cyndi, will you please let the three Amazon Officers I’m here and not to say anything,” Narla asked
“I’ll let them know, here’s the access codes to the door and the access to what you need on the ship,” Cyndi said turning from the computer
“Thank you again Cyndi,” Narla replied
“I’ll leave you to rest and if anyone gives you any problems let me know,” Cyndi said “There’s a com-badge on the desk too. And Oh I forgot welcome aboard Narla.”
With that Cyndi headed out, tapping her com-badge “Commander Kahn meet me in my ready room.”
