Post Number 36 Catching Up

Mission: The Forgotten Children
Location: Fughter Deck

OFF:

Due to lack of participation and Christmas being next week this mission will end one week from today, Wednesday December 22. On that day I’ll write a mission ending post to it and put us into Character Development until after the first of the year. On January second I’ll have the new mission up. I already have one in mind. There will be a JP forth coming between General Narla Long and Major Hurd, that JP I’ll start JP Friday and it will be posted prior to my ending the mission, if that JP is not completed it will be posted as is.

ON:

Narla having changed into her uniform and headed to the fighter bay, Alesha had just climbed out of her fighter when she spotted Narla. “I thought you were going to be undercover?”
“I was but with Major Hurd, First Lieutenant Jackson and Fleet Officer McKeon off the ship I figured it was safe to come out of hiding. Who’s in charge of the marines with the major off ship?” Narla asked as she placed a hand on the fighter and then turned to Alesha

“As far as I know he left no one in charge,” Alesha said

“Is that common practice?” Narla asked

“Yes, but then he rarely leaves the ship, this is one of the few times he’s been off the ship along with his XO,” Alesha replied

Narla nodded but didn’t say anything “Enough shop talk, how’s that fighter treating you?”

“Narla I just love it, I was so surprised when dad brought it to me. Something about a personal request from you and mum,” Alesha commented

“You’ve more than earned it, you’ve taken to flying so quickly that we felt it was time for you to have the latest design in fighters. How often to you take it out compared to the Delta’s the ship carries?” Narla asked

“Not as often as I’d like but then it’s not Federation so I try to follow the rules. The commodore asked me to take mine out as we’re dealing as you know with the Jem Hadar and she doesn’t want any surprises,“ Alesha replied as they walked from the fighter bay

“Alesha for you not having gone through Starfleet Marines you do know what you’re doing and to be honest I’m impressed, I’m going to adjust your service record to show Starfleet,” Narla said

“Can you do that?” Alesha asked

“Yes I can, I’m here for several reasons, you were one of them. But my main reason was the major. That I can’t tell you about. “Let’s go to the officers mess for a bite to eat,” Narla suggested

“I’d like that, I don’t get to see you much; How’s Richard?” Alesha asked as they entered the officers mess to salutes and snapping to attention at the sight of a general.

“He’s good, he’s planning on joining me soon as he misses Tara and Kristian and wants to see them and yes he’ll be delighted to see you too. And no more of this nonsense about you not being family. You know how hightly we all adore Marlaina. And she was married to your real dad who was Uncle Zelcore’s nephew making you family. Even though Kalief is the only dad you’ve really known,” Narla commented as the two lasped into a family talk and reverted to the Amazon language.
