Amethyst walked into Sickbay and looked around, she was hoping to catch H’iri but found herself face to face with the Chief Medical Officer. She hadn’t yet had chance to meet him properly so this was as good a time as any. “Doctor” She offered a smile.

Out in Sickbay proper, Bjorgo was seeing to arranging the medical bay to be more user friendly. Saving lives and alleviating health issues always went much better when the staff had everything they needed readily available, no matter where they were in the Sickbay environment. He heard his accolade, but to make sure that the word 'doctor' was intended for him he looked to the source. "Greetings. I am Doctor Tore Bjorgo, Chief Medical Officer. Were you trying to get my attention, Miss...? He let the query trail off.

“Amethyst Aloran, Chief Counsellor” She smiled politely. “Yes, sorry I didn’t mean to sound impersonal. I was hoping to get a medical opinion.”

Tore looked over with a friendly twinkle in his eye, turning to face her as he leaned his left hip against a biobed with a bit of swagger. "Well, then you have come to the right place, Miss Amethyst. Do tell, please."

Amethyst smiled warmly. “I’ve recently had a fair amount of telepathic contact with the Brol and the Spiders it’s left me feeling somewhat ... out of sorts.” She shrugged her shoulders. “Telepathy is pretty hard on the body as well as the mind, Lieutenant H’iri gave me a stimulant to keep me gong for the away mission I was needed for.”

"Understandable," he replied. "Are you feeling exhaustion of any kind? More tired or run down than usual?"

“Definitely more tired” Amethyst nodded. “It’s my own fault for not resting as much as I should but I was needed and I didn’t get time to rest. My head is pounding.”

Bjorgo arched an eyebrow at what she said, not at her. Taking up a hypo with a mild analgesic inside it, he pressed the dispenser and injected 2CC's into her system. After which, Tore then checked the personnel manifest. "Well, there are no Orion females aboard, so it can't be that." He angled his medical tricorder toward her, getting a scan up near to the right temple. "Seems to be a simple case of stress and overwork. We have to take care of ourselves, first, before we can take care of others. Right?"

Amethyst nodded. “Work has been ... hectic. I’ve been the sole point of telepathic communication between the ship and the Brol plus the Spiders! I don’t think I’ve ever used my Telepathy so much before. It rarely gets used amongst the ship’s crew, normally I rely on my empathic senses instead.” She yawned. “Sorry! Like I said I’m exhausted.”

Tore gave a grin. "I will suggest more rest. Give your brain time to slow down so the body will follow. I've always found it amusing that the crew never worries about us, but we constantly worry about them. As if being a medical professional automatically provides us some form of immunity. I can heal every person on this ship with my blood platelets, wiping out disease and toxins in a matter of minutes, depending on severity. But, I don't. It's better that my kind keep a low profile."

“Your kind Doctor?” Amethyst looked at Tore curiously. “Ah now I remember ... you’re an augmented Human correct? As far as I’m concerned you’re as much a Terran as anyone else, just be grateful you don’t have a head full of voices all the time! It can be ... quiet yet deafening all at the same time.”

Another smile flashed as Tore spoke low. "I can relate. I can hear every heartbeat in this room, right now. I hear whispered conversations all the time, and though I try to ignore them for their privacy, the other half of me keeps a partial ear, for safeties sake."

Amethyst nodded. “Would you check over my son for me?” Amethyst looked at Tore concernedly. “He’s only five, he’s half Human and half Betazoid, the spiders have been communicating with him. He doesn’t have his abilities yet hence my wanting him checked over, to make sure he’s okay. H’iri has been looking after him but it never hurts to have a second opinion.”

"Of course," answered Bjorgo. "I'll brush up on my Betazoid medicine, been a while since I've had to treat any. My last assignment as a medical officer was a penal facility. So, as you can guess, no Betazoids. Bring him in, any time on Alpha shift. I'm here every day and that is my primary shift."

“Well you’ve done okay with me” Amethyst smiled. “I’m three quarters Betazoid and a quarter Human.” She looked at the Doctor curiously. “So I’m free to go with orders for more rest?”

"Yes," he replied with a grin. "You are free to return to duty. The orders for rest include your daily life." He reached his right hand up and laid it upon her left shoulder, giving a gentle squeeze as he said, "Learn to relax every day. Take a walk in the arboretum, get a massage, drink a bottle of wine and pass out. Whatever it takes." His hand came away. "We all need it...even me." He leaned in closer, a pseudo-private moment. "Though, I never need anything," he whispered, putting his finger to his lips. "Don't tell anyone." He smiled to show her he was joking around, playing the tough, adventurous medical officer. Truth be told, like any physician, he could be his own worst patient.

Amethyst nodded. “I appreciate your help and advice, if you ever need a friend feel free to drop by and see me.”

"I'll do that," answered Tore. "Have a good afternoon, Miss Amethyst."

Amethyst smiled. “I’ll do that, thank you, and you too.” With that she headed on her way.
