{Usher's Quarters}

Several days has passed since the Commodore had been sold on Glintok and after careful scanning of the long range sensors, they were well clear of any threat from the Amandora. Usher had performed his usual duties throughout the voyage of being the CO until they were close to Tiburon.

The last day before arriving Usher had turned the CO duties over to Henry so he could spend the time with Lia finalizing their plans for a new life together; although the Crew had no idea what was about to happen next.

Laying in bed together Usher looked at Lia "So what do you think of our future" he asked then gave her a kiss.

Lia returned the kiss before smiling. “I think it’ll be wonderful. I can’t wait!”

Soon after their discussion Usher's Comm went off "Boss we're about two hours away from Tiburon.....thought you'd want to know" Henry stated.

"Thanks Henry, I'll be up to the Bridge soon" Usher replied. Then turning to Lia "You better go and pack up your stuff....then come to the Bridge....we'll be there soon."

Lia nodded. “It won’t take me long, I’ll be there as soon as I can.”

After she left to go back to her quarters to pack, Usher packed up what little stuff he had. Coming across some remnants from his old life, he let out a sigh as he thought "Guess I won't me needing these anymore" as he tossed them into a reclaimer for processing. Might as well wipe the slate clean for his new life with Lia.

Usher grabbed his bag with the money in it from the sale of the Princess, along with his duffle, and headed up to the Bridge.

{Bridge}

When Usher arrived he walked up to Henry "Still no sign of the Amandora" he asked.

"No Boss, we're in the clear" he replied "What's with the duffel?"

Usher didn't reply but just smiled as he tapped the Comms "All hands report to the Bridge asap" Usher ordered which would be the last order that he would ever give.

Soon everyone was on the Bridge including Lia with duffel in hand as she walked over to Usher and placed her arm around his waist.

Usher looked at Lia and smiled as he began to speak "First off I just want to thank all of you for your hard work and loyalty these past few years. There comes a time when things must end and this is that time" he explained to a very bewildered Crew.

Then Usher reached into his bag and grabbed several pouches of credits then he tossed one to each Crew member "Here is your payment for all your hard work....which is quite a handsome amount I might add" Usher said with a smile "When we reach Tiburon Lia and I are leaving the Ship....for good and are going to start a new life together."

The Crew were is shock at the news as Usher continued "Therefore since Henry is my First Mate he will now take Command of this Ship and her Crew." Henry just stood there....shocked and quite speechless as Usher went on "I hope that all of you will stay on and serve under Henry....he'll be a fine leader."

Everyone stood looking at one another when one of them spoke up "Boss sorry to see you leave but as far as I'm concerned....I got nowhere else to go....so Henry I'll be staying on with you." The others one by one agreed which put a smile on Henry's face.

Usher was more than pleased that the Crew had all agreed to stay on and work for Henry. Looking at the now last female Crew member "Looks like you'll be the only female left on the Ship....hope you can handle these guys" he commented.

"Don't you worry about me Usher....we'll all get along just fine" she stated as she ginned and looked around the room.

Usher grinned back "I'm sure you will" he replied figuring that she was a bit of a loose women which he had intentionally kept his distance from. Then turning to Henry "Anything you want to say Boss."

Henry smiled "This is an honor to lead this Ship and her Crew. Usher it has been my honor to have served with you and I wish you and Lia all the best" he replied. Then looking at the Crew "Ok you lot....back to work....I'm not paying you to stand around" he said with a chuckle.

After the Crew wished Usher and Lia well they returned to work but now under a new Boss.

Usher walked over to Henry with a packet of papers "Here you'll need these...it's all the paperwork for the Ship along with a transfer of ownership."

Henry looked at the packet then at Usher "Thanks Boss, I don't know quite what to say to all this."

"Just do me proud....it's your Ship and Crew now" Usher replied as the two shook hands. Then a buzzer went off and the Usher and Lia left the Bridge.

{Transporter Room}

When they arrived Usher gave the Operator the coordinates then turned to Lia "You ready my love?" and the two stepped onto the pad then soon were gone off the Ship.

{Tiburon}

They materialized on the Planet in a quaint little village....warm temperatures....a nice breeze....green grass and beautiful flowers everywhere the eye could see.

Usher looked at Lia "So what do you think my love....think we can be happy here" he asked.

Lia looked around, it was absolutely beautiful. “I think this is the perfect place to start our new life together. I’d love a home somewhere away from the hustle and bustle, away where no one will find us.”

Usher smiled "I thought you might feel that way" he replied then a person rode up to them as the driver said "You must be Usher...hop in.'" So the couple got into the ride as the driver took off away from the village to where Usher had a surprise for Lia.

About twenty minutes later the vehicle pulled up to a little house and the couple got out, then then driver left.

There before them stood a little cottage with a picket fence in front of it.....green grass....and more of those beautiful flowers everywhere. To the side of the house was a small barn that could be used for just about anything.

Turning to Lia with a smile "So is this what you had in mind" Usher asked.

“Are you kidding me!!” Lia ran around looking it over. She was like a child with a new toy. “This is...beautiful. Thank you so much!!” She paused long enough to give him a romantic kiss.

Usher just smiled knowing that he had made Lia very happy "Let's go check out the inside" he said as her took Lia by the hand and led the way.

When he opened the door they were greeted by a living area furnished with a couch, two chairs, and a few tables with one wall being a large stone fireplace. The kitchen was of modest size, just right for the couple. The Cottage had a nice bathroom with all the amenities and finally the bedroom had a large bed and a couple of dressers.

"Now this I can happily call home" he said with his arm around Lia.

“It’s absolutely wonderful” Lia smiled as she wrapped her arms around Usher’s neck and kissed him. “Do you think we’d be able to extend? Add another bedroom or two?” She offered a curious gaze. “No family home is complete without a family. That’s if you want to have children at some point?”

Usher smiled "Yes I think we could add a couple of bedrooms quite easily." he stated as he kissed Lia very tenderly then became quite serious looking into her beautiful eyes "You know Lia you saved me from myself....more importantly you gave me a reason to change and go on with my life....and for that I'll always be grateful" then his smile came back "And a small family would be nice down the road."

The couple lived out the rest of their days being very happy and content with their lives....and yes they had a boy and a girl who would only know this way of life and not of their Father's misdeeds.
