Kristian after making sure sick bay was ready, the commodore depending on how badly injured she was would need treatment. Once that was done Long wanted to check on Cyndi’s husband. Arriving at the commodore’s quarters Kristian palmed the door sensor and waited for Paul to answer the door.

Paul walked to the door and opened it, seeing Kristian he stepped back to let her in, “What brings you here doctor?”

“Call me Kristian please, I came to see how you’re holding up. I talked to my mum and she’s filled me in and said she’d been in contact with the Royal Family and is keeping the Queen updated. So tell me how you are?”

“Please have a seat Kristian,” Paul said “I’m holding up as well as I can. I’ve also been in touch with my mother in law and we’ve decided not to tell Brent anything about this.”

Kristian took a seat and nodded “Probably for the best, he’s too young to understand anyway. Commander Kahn is doing everything in her power to get Cyndi back you do know this.”

“I know Kirstian, I’m just frustrated as I can’t do anything to help,” Paul said

“She’ll be back before you know it. Doctor Bjorgo and I will make sure she’s one hundred percent, but if you’re not taking care of yourself and getting sleep and eating you’re not going to be any good to her when she does come back.”

“Can I ask you a personal question?” Paul asked

Of course what do you want to know?” Kristian replied

“Tara’s your cousin and I know who she is on Amzock, what side of the family are your related to her?” Paul wondered

“My mum and Tara’s mother are sisters so in answer to your question, is yes. Mum, myself and Alesha don’t acknowledge it as everything one day will fall to Tara and to be honest she’s welcome to it,” Kristian said

“You mentioned Alesha, how is she related?” Paul asked

“Her mother, Marlaina was married to my uncle’s nephew so yes Alesha is too. But like I said the three of us don’t acknowledge it and Tara has signed documentation on file just like Cyndi does,” Kristian said “Now enough Royal talk, I came to take you to lunch. So let’s go to ten forward for something to eat. There’s nothing you can do sitting in here missing Cyndi, all its doing is driving you crazy. And I’m not taking no for an answer.” Kristian got to her feet and held out her had to Paul

Paul stood and took Kristian’s hand and the offered his arm “You drive a hard bargain doc,”

“I’m glad,” Kristian said taking the offered arm as they headed to ten forward.
