Post Number 47 Treating Cyndi

Kristian after being alerted that the commodore had been rescued and had just been brought in by shuttle, sick bay was ready for her. Doctor Bjorgo and the commodore beamed in.
“Take over Doctor Long” Tore said
Kristian didn’t need equipment to see that Cyndi was in bad shape. “Let me get you on a bio bed so I can see just what I’m dealing with.”
Cyndi didn’t argue as she got on the bio bed and laid down.
Kristian grabbed her medical tricoder and scanned Cyndi, not liking what she saw Long ran the scans again, closed the tri-coder. Picking up the hypo-spray she loaded with an antibiotic and injected into Cyndi’s neck. “Relax Cyndi you’ll be good as new soon.”
“I want to see my husband,” Cyndi said
“ He knows you’re here. Right now I need to treat you, then we’ll call him,” Kristian told her as she set to work repairing the bruises, burns and damage from the electrodes.
Nearly an hour later the injuries to Cyndi were healed and she was resting, pulling a stool next to her “I have to ask you, did you know you were pregnant?” Kristian asked
Cyndi turned to look at Kristian “No, we’ve talked about it but that was all. You mean, I was?”
Kristian nodded “You were, but if there’s a good thing in all of this you were only a week along. I’ve run tests and there is no reason you can’t get pregnant again. You’ll need to tell Paul.”
“When can I get out of here?” Cyndi asked trying to sit up only to find Kristian’s hand firmly on her shoulder
“I’m keeping you here overnight so I can keep an eye on you, if I like what I see I’ll release you. I’m not going to clear you for active duty yet. You need to process what’s happened to you. You need some downtime. Once you’ve had time to rest, relax then I’ll clear you for active duty.” Hearing the door open Kristian looked up, seeing Paul nodded “You have company.”
Paul walked over, took a seat and took Cyndi’s hand, leaning down he kissed her, then looked at Kristian “Is she okay?”
“She’ll be fine, don’t stay too long, she needs rest. I don’t know when she’s had sleep,” Kristian said as she walked over to the desk and worked on her report and updated the commodore’s chart.
“Paul, I was afraid I’d never see you again. Kristian told me I was pregnant, I’m so sorry,” Cyndi said gripping her husband’s hand
“It’s not your fault,” Paul said gently “Don’t worry about it. When the time is right we’ll have another baby. You’re more important. I met Amos and thanked him for taking care of you. He’s in guest quarters under guard. Rumor has it we’re going to Klavor.”
Kristian walked over “She needs some sleep now admiral,” Kristian said “I can bring a bed over and pull the curtain if you want to stay.”
“Thank you doctor but we both know if I’m here she’ll fight thedrugs,” Paul said “Cyndi I’ll be back later.”
Kristian gave Cyndi a strong dose of sleep medication and she was asleep in seconds “I’ll be here tonight with her. She’s fine Pal,”
Paul stood and looked at his wife who was sleeping peacefully then to Kristian “She’s going to be okay?”
“She’ll be fine, she’s been through an ordeal but yes she’ll be just fine. She’s a fighter. I’ll take good care of her,” Kristian assured him
“Thank you for everything,” Paul said as he kissed Cyndi’s forehead “You’ll notify me if anything happens?”
“I will,” Kristian said
Paul thanked her again and headed out
