{Deck 10 - Crew Lounge}

James and Heather McTavish had just sat down to eat their meal when Heather noticed a Trill women looking for a place to sit. Looking at James "I see we have a new Crew member over there....why don't we ask her to join us since empty seats are few."

"Sure, we both know what it's like being on a new Ship" he replied. Heather motioned for the women to come over to their table.

When the women approached the table Heather said 'Hi, I'm Heather McTavish and this is my husband James....would you like to join us for dinner?"

Nix smiled "I don't want to impose or anything" she replied.

"Don't be silly...we know what it's like bing new on a Ship and not knowing anyone....please have a seat and join us" Heather said with a smile.

"Thank you, that's very nice of you both. By the way I'm Nix Dunjen.....I'm the new Infiltration Specialist....I've just been assigned to the Amandora Lieutenants" she responded.

James smiled "Please it's Heather and James....we're not on duty."

"Sorry, old habits are hard to break....James. I didn't realize that this Lounge became quite this busy....so the invitation is greatly appreciated" Nix replied "And please call me Nix."

"It's very nice to meet you Nix. James is the Science Chief and I head up the Biology Department" Heather said with a smile "So when did you come aboard."

Nix looked at Heather smiling "I just came aboard this afternoon and have managed to get settled" she replied.

Then James spoke up "So your Trill....and I assumed you've been joined since you have two names" he commented.

"I'm impressed...most people don't know about the Trill naming system....and yes I've been joined with Dunjen....a great warrior" Nix commented.

"We had a joined Trill on our last Ship and he explained the Trill way to me in detail....was quite an education" James replied.

They all chatted getting to know each other while enjoying their meal together. After their meal was finished Nix smiled "Thank you both so much for a very enjoyable meal and conversation; now I know some people aboard Ship" she stated.

Heather added "It was our pleasure and it was very nice to meet you" she replied "By the way....our quarters are on Deck 5, so If you get lonely and would like some company then please drop be anytime." James nodded in agreement.

"That's very kind of you....and it was nice to meet you both also...and thank you for the standing invitation....I'll remember that" Nix replied "I should be going as I still have some things to attend to" and with that Nix got up and left the Lounge thinking that she had just made some new friends.

Heather looked at James "Nix seems nice and maybe we can become friends" she commented. "Maybe so" he replied.
