After Nix left, Cyndi gathered the files needed to prove Usher's claim false. It had taken a lot of digging but they'd found it. Picking up her com-badge and tapping it "Commander Kahn this is Song can you beam down to my house on Klavor? Beam down to these coordinates.

Kahn had received the message, and though dressed in a bikini and sarong, Liza immediately beamed to Song's location, ringing the chime.

Cyndi walked to the door and opened it seeing Kahn smiled and stepped back to let her in. "Thank you for coming, can I offer you something to drink? It's not replicated, I have ice tea, lemonade and fruit juice?"

"Iced tea would be great, Commodore, thank you." Liza glanced around the pleasant looking cottage. "Sorry for my mode of dress, I was going to check out a beach before we zoom off across the cosmos. Haven't had much downtime what with Bjorgo resigning and getting this Commander Green all situated and aboard." She took the iced tea when it was offered, unsweetened and no lemon, sipping.

Cyndi took a seat "I sure missed a lot, when did Doctor Bjorgo resign and what was his reason? Has headquarters sent us a replacement CMO? I am thrilled Commander Green is aboard. Don't worry about your attire, this is somewhat informal. You;ll have plenty of time to hit the beach." Cyndi slid a PADD and a folder over to her. "As my husband reminded me I need to stay neutral in this Usher mess. Along with Lieutenant Nix we went to the old Palace that my grandfather used and we dug through files and records. Usher's claim is false everything is in there. That should be enough to get Klavor back into good graces with the Federation."

Taking another drink of her beverage Liza then sat down, knees together as she rested her hands on her knees to hold the pint glass. "It was never about their good graces, Sir. As a Starfleet officer I am a diplomat first. Usher had a grievance and acted. I just wanted us to be sure, Cyndi, for everyone's sake."

"I understand and that's why Nix and I went to the old Palace and through my grandfather's files and old military files" Cyndi said "I have to be neutral so this falls on you. But it's all there, there was a member of his family that was in the old guard. He was discharged disgraced for actions unbecoming an officer against a female officer. Usher never was in the old guard, his grandfather was and yes his wife did leave him."

Liza gave a smile. "Then I'm satisfied." She took a large drink from her beverage. "We'll hang it around Usher's neck and tie it off. As for Bjorgo, he came to me a few weeks ago with his resignation. I gave him some time to think on it and he finally decided that yes, he would leave Starfleet service. He says it's personal and won't say any more on the matter." Switching lanes in conversation again. "Lieutenant Commander Green is returning to service and requested to serve under you again. I made the proper calls and got her assigned to the Amandora, Strategic Operations Chief. She has yet to arrive, telling me she had something to finish on Glintok first. And, that's where we sit, Commodore." Another grin.

"Green's a good officer, I hate to see see Bjorgo go. Has Starfleet Medical sent us a new CMO as of yet? Doctor Long is ACMO and she's good. But what has headquarters said?" Cyndi asked. "It'll be good to work with Green again. It's been a long time."

Kahn gave a nod. "Green is...different. She was very business-like with me, saying her time was short and she needed to get moving when I spoke to her by visual comm. She did, however, smile broadly when I told her she had been accepted to the Dora." An inner thought crossed Liza's mind and she gave a wistful grin. "As for CMO, I think Long is the perfect choice, Sir. She knows the Sickbay, the staff, and she is already a solid member of the crew. Once that is done she can choose her ACMO."

Cyndi nodded "She'll make an excellent CMO, the crew knows and respects her. I think she's ready. She knows a lot of old remedies that she learned. I'll make it official in a few minutes."

Liza finished her tea and took her glass to the sink, rinsing it out and placing it in the basin, talking as she went. "Long will do great. She has Silk and the others she has worked with before. Should make the transition rather easy." She grabbed a hand towel and began to dry her hands. "I'll list the promotion in my XO logs." Liza came back and sat down.

"Thank you," Cyndi said "And you didn't have to rinse out your glass. I rather enjoy doing dishes and my son loves to help too. This visit home has been what I needed. Would you like to promote Doctor Long? I have been cleared for duty but your still in command."

"She's in line for Lt. Commander," said Kahn. "Her time in rate and her medical knowledge secure that. And, Starfleet has plenty of openings for lieutenant commander in this sector. So, I'll jack her up to CMO, then you call her in and give her the rank increase once you're back in the center seat." A big smile. "She'll never see it coming."

"No she won't and I have one more promotion to make once I'm back in the center seat. Paul actually suggested it and I agree with his judgement," Cyndi replied.

Kahn stood up casually. "He was a flag officer. Taking his advice is not a bad thing. But, anyway, seems I have more to do so I'll return to the ship and get all these ducks lined up. Thank you for this chat, Cyndi, I enjoyed it. We need to do this more often."

The Commodore gave a nod of understanding and acceptance, with both ladies giving their farewells as Liza left the house. Within minutes she was back aboard Amandora with a site-to-site transport to her quarters. She began to change back into uniform, deciding on the vest variant today.
