Yova rushed home from engineering with a revelation of epic proportion.

" Ellie are you home?" he yelled.

Ellie popped her head around the bedroom door, where she was about to get changed. “Only just” She smiled. “What’s up?”

" When I was working on the modulation crystals an arc of energy passed through my body. I was asleep or dead...but I saw the prophets...they told me that it was time to create a baby...our baby will be the next emissary to the Prophets." Yova declared.

Ellie stood looking at Yova in shock. "Wait ... you're telling me I'm supposed to be mother to the next Emissary? That makes no sense I'm not a Bajoran, why choose me? hell why choose us!?"

" I kid you not Ellie. I saw my whole life pass before my eyes then I saw our son...uniting the Bajoran people." Yova replied.

“Our son?” Ellie smiled as she thought about it. Yova knew how much she wanted a family. “Then I guess we can’t go against the prophets, can we?”

Yova was static literally as his hair still radiated from the energy discharge.

" I have to go to this function. When we get back lets try, try, try."

Ellie grinned and nodded. “You’ll get no complaints from me!”

Yova lifted Ellie up and kissed her for a long five minutes. He had to rush back to get dressed before the big ceremony on the planet.

Ellie returned the kiss before offering a smile, “Can I help you get ready?”

" Well I do need a sonic shower?" Yova smiled.

“Then I’m only too happy to help you with that.” Ellie grinned as they headed towards the bathroom together.
