Post 24. Preparations

Mission: Shore Leave on Klavor

Christina entered the newly laid out ship's nursery and school, with shoreleave time what families were aboard hadn't needed to be using the ship's small facilities so Christina had requested a minor refit and upgrade.

With the work now done she was happy with the changes, a seperate area had been designed for the nursery away from the main school side. She'd also requested extra help from the onboard community to assist as she couldn't be in two places at once. Plus there would eventually be a need for someone to take over during her maternity leave but that was a while away yet.

She smiled humming a tune while she unpacked some supplies she'd picked up whilst down on Klavor. She'd also been lucky enough to come across a cheap sale of toys that she'd purchased for the nursery, children needed to play and now they had plenty of toys to do that.

She couldn't help but wonder how her husband was fairing, he'd been pretty out of sorts lately and even though he'd been to speak to a Counsellor he was still being disturbed by nightmares. She loved David with all her heart, she just wished she could help him more.

Unpacking the supplies she'd stored away during the refit she put the PADDs back on their shelving unit, along with the colouring books, and study materials for the children who came to the school. Older children had their Federation based classes that were taken remotely though right now there were very few children at all aboard the Amandora, though that would most likely change.

Setting out the rugs, cushions and bean bags in the book corner she stood up to look around pleased with how it all looked. Hopefully there'd be more families join the ship soon.
