Mission:
Shore Leave on Klavor
Location: Palace Dinning Room
Timeline: Current
ON:
After a long talk with her parents a formal dinner for the officers had planned. Cyndi had agreed to permit two Klavorian military personal aboard the Amandora to man helm to keep the ship in orbit. Clear orders had been given to them that they were to contact Commander Kahn or herself should anything arise that needed their attention.
Walking into the living room in her house Cyndi tapped her com-badge "All officers this is the commodore, your presence has been requested by my parents for a dinner to be held in the Palace Dinning Room. Formal Attire requested. Dress Uniforms optional but you will need formal attire. Remember this is a Monarchy World. Two highly trained and trusted Klavorian Military Personal will beam aboard to man helm while your off the ship. Any issues that requires my attention or Commander Kahn's will be relayed to us"
Paul walked into the room and wrapped his arms around her "Ready to head to the Palace?"
Cyndi nodded "I guess so, I'll need to change when I get there."
Together Cyndi and Paul headed for the Palace. Not Cyndi's favorite place.
< Amandora >
Lt Thoros had spent the last month as a guest on Klavor but never as a member of this Amandora crew. Looking at his invite he snickered as he wandered if his invite was sent by accident.
Dressed as himself Thoros headed to the shuttlebay where he nodded to Lt Odac Yova.
" Chief Engineer? I was told a Bajoran was aboard ship. I lived on Deep Space 9 for a while. Your people are whiners." Thoros told him.
" Some can be. It happens when you've been hunted to death." Yova replied sarcastically.
" The Cardassians got what was coming to them." Thoros replied.
" On that we both agree. Shall we find out seats?" Yova replied.
T’Mia was surprised to be invited to the palace but on the upside it would give her a chance to spend more time with Greg. Now all she had to do was choose a formal outfit from her wardrobe.
Tara and Alesha arrived at Kristian's quarters, Alesha palmed the sensor and waited.
Kristian opened the door and stepped back to let them in "You two look good, neither of you chose dress uniforms?"
Tara shook her head "I hate them and I know certain functions we have to wear them. But given the choice I chose to wear a gown."
"Give me three minutes," Kristian said as she ran to her bedroom and returned in a gown. "Let's go to the surface."
Together they headed to the transporter room and beamed down to the planet just outside the Palace.
Greg glanced up at the communication and grumbled as he stood up making his way to the closest and pulling out his dress uniform. His choice of off duty clothing was a lot more casual then what would odd as formal wear.
Alister frowned at the communications but followed his orders pulling out a formal civilian suit from his closest and heading for the transporter.
Having chosen a long figure complimenting black dress with low, but not too revealing neckline T’Mia decides to stop by Greg’s Quarters. They had dinner plans anyway but it looked like that would have to come another night. Stopping at his door she pressed the chime and waited for an answer.
“Hi handsome” T’Mia smiled. “Looks like a minor change to our dinner plans, we can take a rain check on it until tomorrow evening.”
Greg smiled as he exited his quarters, “You look absolutely stunning beautiful,” he replied, “A rain check is fine not every day you’re invited to dine with royalty,” holding out his arm to her before the begin to walk toward the transporter.
T’Mia walked along with a smile as she held onto Greg’s arm, it was going to be just as wonderful a dinner with him.
Heather and James McTavish received the invitation for the Palace dinner. Being that this was a formal occasion the couple decided to go with the Dress Uniforms since neither one had formal civilian attire.
James looked at Heather as they were ready to leave "Wow....that dress uniform never looked so good" he commented.
Heather smiled "You don't look so bad yourself" she replied then gave James a kiss "Ready sweetheart" James nodded and the couple left for the Transporter Room.
{Palace}
As James and Heather entered the Palace they were greeted by a gentlemen dressed in a Tuxedo "Good evening...and who might you be" he asked. James smiled "We are Lieutenants James and Heather McTavish from the Amandora" he replied. The gentlemen
greeted them "Enjoy your time here at the Palace." James offered Heather his arm and the couple walked towards the Commodore.
They walked over towards Cyndi and Paul "Good evening Rear Admiral.....nice to see you again" then turning to Cyndi "Commodore..thank you for the invitation..how are you feeling" James asked.
"I'm feeling much better, thank you," Cyndi answered, she was dressed in a pale yellow dress that fell just below her knees and her long hair was in a bun on the top of her head Paul was dressed in a suit. "I'm glad everyone is coming."
"Please call me Paul," he said.
Odac Yova and Lt Thoros shuttle landed near the palace and both officers entered the long stretch of walkway to the castle.
Thoros looked forward to see the Doctor again and also hoped the Counselor would be there as well. Yova wasn't so intrigued as he missed his beloved new wife.
Kristian seeing Thoros and Yova walk up excused herself and walked over to them. "Yova nice to see you, Thoros how are you feeling?"
" I am fine Doctor. You look very ...nice tonight," Thoros reacted. Odac nodded back as he was counting his hours.
"Thank you Thoros, I'm glad your feeling better," Kristian replied
" Doctor if you need a dance partner I have been known to make quite the partner " Thoros flirted .
"I'd like that, it's been sometime since I've enjoyed a dance," Kristian said "Please call me Kristian,"
" Kristian? That sounds Klingon. Kristian it is then. Let us dance." Thoros replied.
Stepping through the doors of the palace T’Mia arrived alongside Greg, holding onto his arm as they stepped into the room.
“Commodore” T’Mia smiled warmly as she greeted Cyndi. “Thank you for inviting us.”
"Your welcome, but this dinner was my parents idea. They wanted to have my officers down for dinner as a thank you for rescuing me," Cyndi replied "I do hope everyone has had a chance to enjoy the planet."
Cyndi's father walked into the room "I'm Drew Song, Cyndi's father. On behalf of my wife and I, we'd like to thank you for coming. Dinner is now ready, if you'll follow me to the main dining room."
Cyndi took Paul's offered arm as they followed her father into the dining room.
" Kristian who it the lady in the gown?" Thoros asked.
Kristian looked over in the direction Thoros was indicating and then back to him "That would be the Queen, the commodore's mother." Kristian nodded respectfully to the Queen as they entered the dining room.
Following through to the dining room with Greg, T’Mia offered Thoros a respectful nod as she saw him across the room.
Thoros smiled and nodded back as his eyes widened.
" Introduce me to the Commodore." he then asked Kristian.
Kristian looked around the room and spotted Cyndi standing between her mother and Paul. Follow me," she led the way over to where Cyndi was standing "Commodore you've not had the chance yet, this is Lieutenant Thoros he's new to the ship. This is her husband Paul Sanderson."
"Lieutenant welcome to my home world," Cyndi greeted offering her hand. "We'll make it more official once I'm back on the ship. I'd also like to introduce you to my mum, this is Tasha."
Thoros leaned in and kissed the Queens ring and then bowed to the Commodore.
" I pledge my sword and honor to you and the Amandora ,Commodore."
"Thank you lieutenant," Cyndi responded
Drew walked over "If everyone will please be seated dinner will be served!" Cyndi's father called
Tasha, Drew, Cyndi and Paul took seats as the rest of the officers took seats as well.
T’Mia took her seat next to Greg, smiling as Thoros took a seat opposite her. “It’s nice to see you again Thoros” she smiled warmly. “Have you met Lieutenant Jackson? He’s our marine Exec.” She motioned to Greg.
" Marine? Does that not mean a fish collector on Earth? Oh no that is a Marine Biologist." Thoros chuckled.
Greg turned looking over at Thoros, “Don’t give up your day job to be a comedian,” he said dryly.
Kristian returned to Tara and Alesha and took a seat. Thoros followed her and asked " Excuse me is this seat taken?"
Kristian looked up and shook her head, "No, it's not, please join us. This my cousin Lieutenant Tara Herculoid and a very dear family friend First Lieutenant Alesha Rivers."
Thoros lightly bowed to both ladies.
" The Doctor saved my life. " Thoros said too loudly.
"She has a habit of doing that," Tara joked "She's a good doctor. But I might be a little prejudice as she's my cousin."
Thoros side hugged Kristian as he was proud to have been saved medically by her hands.
Tasha waited until everyone was seated, standing she looked over at Cyndi and then to her assembled officers "To those of you who don't know me, I'm your commanding officers mother. My name is Tasha and I'm the Queen of this planet. I wanted to do something to express thanks from my husband and I for the efforts you took to rescue my daughter. This dinner is our way of saying thank you. Please enjoy your dinner, there will be dancing afterwards if you'd like to stay. We cannot thank each and everyone of you enough. It took great risk and determination to get her back. We're forever in your debt." Taking her seat Tasha signaled the staff to serve dinner.
The staff served the dinner which consisted of steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, salad, rolls assorted vegetables and freshly made honey butter. At a request from Cyndi before the dinner was served she'd requested her officers to be served first then she, Paul and her parents. Since the dinner was in their honor. Cyndi had also overseen the menu for the dinner.
Once dinner was over Drew stood "For those of you who are interested and would like to there will be dancing in the main ballroom. Say one hour that will give those of you whose wives and husbands were not here for the dinner to join you. We'll also have dancing in the garden as well. As my wife said it's our way of saying thank you and it also gives us a good reason to throw a party. Something we've not done since Cyndi married Paul."
