Post 22. Shopping

Mission: Shore Leave on Klavor
Location: The Surface

Taking some time away from the ship Christina was enjoying a walk around the surface of Klavor. The planet was quite beautiful and she had already found some items for her souvenir collection, as well as a few cheap sweet treats for the children who came to the ship's nursery and school.

Wondering around Ellie was enjoying herself on the surface, the only problem with serving aboard ship was there was no blue sky to see and green grass to sit on except in the arboretum. She smiled as she saw a familiar face.

"Excuse me" She smiled warmly. "You're Christina Hurd aren't you? I'm Ellie Kees-Odak."

Christina smiled warmly. "That's me, it's nice to finally meet you Ellie. I was just enjoying doing some shopping would you care to join me?"

"Sure!" Ellie smiled and nodded. "Are you looking for anything in particular?"

"Well I'm going to be needing maternity clothing eventually so that's one place to start, as well as baby items."

"Baby shopping, sounds wonderful" Ellie nodded. "I'm not sure my husband is going to want kids any time soon, when i suggested it he almost ran a mile!" she grinned.

"I wouldn't worry" Christina smiled. "He'll probably come around eventually. Enjoy the time the two of you have together while you can."

Ellie nodded. "I guess you're right there, I don't intend to rush him into anything.

As they walked they passed along a quiet, narrow street two figures in the darkness watching them pass by. The one looked at the other exchanging a glance.

"Is that her?" He motioned towards Ellie. "The one in your visions?"

The other figure nodded. "That's the one, why do the enemies of our gods choose off worlders for their prophecies? She's not even Bajoran!"

"Maybe not but her husband is, she is simply the chosen vessel
and when the time comes our masters will let their followers know what to do." They slunk back into the darkness letting the women pass by.

"How's about this one?" Ellie smiled as she motioned to Christina. "They have some lovely baby things in the window. Shall we go in and look?"

"Looks good to me" Christina nodded and smiled. "You'll just have to stop me buying the shop!"

They both laughed as they stepped inside, the shop door closing behind them.
