The dinner and dancing had been a good distraction and rest for the crew. Most everyone had returned to the ship. Cyndi and Paul woke up early just as the sun was coming up, they’d said goodbye to their son Brent the night before when they’d tucked him in for the night.
They spent the next couple hours closing up the house, a breakfast with her parents and Cyndi and Paul were ready to return to the ship. It had been an enjoyable visit and good rest for Cyndi who had been through hell at the hands of Usher.
Changing into her uniform and pulling her long hair back into her usual ponytail. Paul had changed into a pair of slacks and top. “Ready to get back to the ship?” Paul asked as they walked out of the house. Paul paused long enough to secure it before handing the key card over to one of the guards.
“As ready as I’ll ever be, I need to feel normal again, while this is my home I’m glad we’re going back to work as being called Princess, Your Highness and such got old quickly. This is why I joined Starfleet,” Cyndi said tapping her com-badge “Amandora this is the commodore, two to beam up.
In seconds they were back on the ship. Paul headed for their quarters while Cyndi headed for the bridge and thanked the two Klavorian officers who had manned helm for her to keep the ship’s orbit stable. Gathering several PADD’s that had been handed to her along with the crew on the bridge welcoming her back. Thanking them Cyndi headed for her office to see what was going on and what needed her attention. It had been a long two months and she knew there was a lot of work waiting for her. She was well rested and eager to get underway. And they would as soon as the rest of the crew returned. Tapping her com-badge “Communications send out a call and have the crew return to the ship. We’ll be breaking orbit in a few hours.”
“Understood sir,” came the reply
