Weapon Investigating
Location: Main lounge
Timeline: current

With Beta shift watching the Bridge Liza headed for the main lounge. Arriving and stopping just inside and scanning the room she found a four seat table way over in a corner, near enough to a viewport to provide a star filled spectacle, but in a more subdued part of the lounge. Soft lighting and a plenty of elbow room. Making her way through the other tables Kahn then took a seat at the chosen table, sitting patiently and staring off into space. Liza had contacted Green to let her know she was heading for the lounge for their dinner date. Separately, she had called Nira as the surprise guest for Rogue, knowing the two hadn't seen each other for more than a few minutes during Song's rescue.
Having received the summons for dinner Green finished up accessing her computer in her Strat Ops. office, adding her own passwords and security measures. Finishing that Ro stood up and left her office, and strategic operations proper, making her way to the lounge. Arriving she did pretty much the same thing as Liza had, stopping and scanning for a familiar face. Seeing her target at the other side of the room Green made her way over, Liza standing and hugging her before they both sat. "No drinks yet? You're getting slow in your old age, Kahn."
"Bite me," giggled Liza. "Maybe I learned some manners over the past few years; like waiting for my dinner company before indulging."
"I would believe in Earth Unicorns before I believed that," Ro retorted, her face lit up with smiles and grins.
"No respect," Liza replied, her own visage that of humor, good times and positive energy.
They both laughed quietly.
From her angle Liza could see the entrance, and in walked Nira. She wore her typical Puazi bikini thing, decorated with the proper insignia for Starfleet. The combadge was worn down along her left waistline. Rank pips on the right waistline, able to be seen from the front. Both devices were worn along her hip bones.
"You didn't?" Asked Ro. Her face showed emotional content trying to remain hidden behind casual composure.
Liza had to snap out of looking at Nira, now moving towards them, looking at Green. "What? Didn't what?"
"I can feel Nira's presence." Green got up and spun around, looking at her Puazi friend coming towards her. She met Nira halfway, hugging her intensely with it being reciprocated. They held each other as they spoke, looking into each other's eyes. "So good to see you, Nira." Her smile bestowing that feeling.
"I miss Ro-ro," admitted Nira, her own smile wide and full of joy. But, within that smile was a mischievous, somewhat sultry expression, her eyes belying the same. Her voice went lower for a bit more privacy. "The pool awaits."
"I'm sure it does." Green let her friend go and they went over to the table. Ro sat back down while Nira went to an open chair and squatted on it, as if she were squatting over a fire pit. "We drink copious alcohol?" Asked Nira.
Liza laughed. "I don't think that would be a good idea. You two could outdrink me anyway. Given your separately unique genetics."
The server came around and took their orders for both beverages and food. Green went with a pint of Guinness and a shot of Jameson's Irish whiskey. She sipped her pint and let the whiskey sit for a bit. Liza ordered her favorite, a tumbler of Aldeberan whiskey, light ice. Nira looked at the menu on the server PADD at their table, not really knowing what to order. But, that was decided when she saw the word 'tea'. So, she ordered a Long Island iced tea.
Both Liza and Ro giggled. "Oh, Nira, I so wish we could see you drunk." Stated Green. "We would have so much fun and get into so much trouble."
"She's on the watch list for the arboretum and some of the science labs," offered Liza with a grin.
Ro knew exactly why. "Eating the bugs again, Nira? Some of those animals come from far away places and are hard to replace. People get upset." She was mirthful in her explanation but with a hint of seriousness.
Nira waved it off. "They too serious. Give me place and I go get bugs and replace."
As XO, even though rank and position was negated in the lounge, Liza felt she needed to take an offramp for this conversation. "Anything new that may be of interest in strategic operations?"
Green understood what Kahn was doing and played along. "Yes, and no. The newly formed, floundering Romulan Republic is having a hard time of it. Their push for a more agreeable Romulan society is being met with heavy resistance. The Tal Shiar hunt them relentlessly. They found a world in the Unknown Regions and then claimed an area of space as their own. However, the reports I've received from my contacts in the Republic say that they are now facing another threat from further inside the Unknown Regions. Nothing more has been sent by my contacts."
Liza gave nods. "You know, I heard the rumors about this shake up within Romulan culture. I didn't give it much credence, seeing it as another Tal Shiar trick to make us all think they were looking inward, not outward towards others."
Nira had finally copied her female companions, sitting on her butt properly even though she sat lotus in her seat. The food arrived as she spoke. "I know Rihannsu. Strong people."
"That they are," agreed Green. "Ruthless, too. However, I'm more concerned about what is attacking the Republic from beyond them. I'll try and re-establish communications with my contacts, but for now, we're clueless. Even Starfleet has a bit of worry as to what is going on out there. They are sending aid and supplies to Mol Rihan (New Romulus). If whatever it is that is sparring with the Romulans defeats or conquers them, then the next place they could head is directly into Federation space. Sure, it's way out on the edge of our territory, but still."
Nira's eyes squinted slightly. "In empty space, armada could be built. We get caught in surprise."
Green nodded. "Exactly what the higher-ups are thinking." Taking a bite of food and chewing, Ro went on once she swallowed. "I know a few privateers. If I had permission, Exec, I could take Nira and we could go out and check it out. See what is what with our own eyes and...senses."
"Yes!" Said Nira in an excited whisper-hiss before speaking normal. She had a huge platter of steamed Earth prawns, eating with her hands as Green and Liza gave her extra cloth napkins. "We go see. Save Galaxy." She smiled around chewed up shellfish before continuing to feast. One thing about Puazi was that meal time was just that. To eat and be with your people. Table manners were not discouraged they just weren't a heavy priority to 'the People'.
Liza did a comical facepalm before looking at Green. "You had to mention running off on some adventure in front of her. Just couldn't help yourself, could you?"
Ro gave a friendly shrug. "Hey. It's me."
Nira stopped chewing and swallowed, then copied her friends and wiped her face and hands, having consumed a great portion of her shrimp in a very short amount of time. "Well?" Asked the Puazi, looking at her XO.
"Well, what?" Liza met her gaze.
Her right hand came up as Nira motioned back and forth at herself and Green. "Do we go? Can you authorize?"
The trilled R's from Nira still made Green smile inwardly. The more she was around her Puazi friend the more she wanted to visit 'the pool' in Nira's quarters. She was sure Nira had decked the place out in actual turf, a jungle of vines and plants, and the restorative pool she relaxed in dead center of her main room. With Nira's quarters it was like walking from a starship and into the Amazon jungle.
Kahn gave a sigh. "I will talk to Cyndi about it. Don't expect anything. If she says no, then she says no. I' myself, have no issue with it, and will make that known to the Commodore. We don't need another war like the Dominion. That almost collapsed the Federation."
"All we can ask," stated Green.
As they remained at the table and talking for hours the shop-talk went away and then it was just tales of their past escapades when the others weren't around. The Ladies Three were back together and catching up.
