{Transporter Room}

Tara and Nix materialized on the Pads in the Transporter Room as Nix brought up her Screen to check the time...zero six hundred.

The Operator looked at both women "Good to have you back in one piece ladies" he commented with a smile.

Nix gave him a nod as she tapped her Comm "Command Yeoman, when does the Commodore start her shift "she queried. "Zero eight hundred" came the reply.

Looking at Tara "I just wanted to tell you...you did a first rate job down there....you have all the makings of an Infiltration Specialist with a little more training....thank you for your help" Nix stated being very grateful for her assistance.

"Your welcome, it was good to be in the field like that. I'm trained for it but science has always been my first love," Tara commented.

Nix smiled "That's understandable....I know what it's like to be passionate about what you do" she commented "Since we have some time before the Commodore comes on duty I'm going to see about getting my face back and maybe get something to eat since we haven't had any food in the past two days."

"I wondered why I was so hungry," Tara said "I'll go along It will be good to see my face again too. Then eat and by that time the commodore should be on duty as I hate to bother her in her quarters.

{Sick Bay}

Nix and Tara walked in and saw Doctor Long going over some charts . Nix hopped up on the Bio-bed first "I'm ready to look like me again" she stated with a grin. Dr long proceeded to restore Nix's face as well as her Trill markings. Shortly the Doctor was finished as she handed Nix a mirror.

Nix smiled as she saw her face looking back at her and noticed her markings were nothing short of perfect "Thank you Doctor...now I feel like my old self" she commented as she heard Dunjen "Now that's the Nix I call a friend."

Tara looked at her cousin and spotted the rank insignia "When did you get promoted and I not know about it?"

"Not long ago, I didn't tell anyone until I told my parents, now on that bio bed and I'll get your face back too," Kristian said as Tara hoped on the bio bed and Kristian set to work getting Tara's face back. Handing her a mirror "Your good to go as well."

Tara took a look and nodded "Thank you cousin, we'll talk later."

After their faces were restored the ladies went to ten forward for something to eat. When their meal was finished Nix noticed it was zero eight hundred then tapped her Comm "Commodore this is Dunjen we're back aboard safe and sound. I have lots of data and we need to speak as soon as possible; I don't think your going to like what I have to tell you" she commented.

"Come to my ready room, I've been wondering what you found," Cyndi replied.

{Ready Room}

Tara and Nix made their way to Cyndi's office, and after being recognized, took the offered seats.

Nix reached inside her vest and grabbed the Data Disk and placed it on the Commodore's desk "There are literally hundreds and hundreds of snapshots of their project pages which will need to be analyzed by various departments" she stated "The Lieutenant and I scanned the pages while still on Quagmire. Now I'm no Scientist but that weapon they're trying to build looks like it would have catastrophic results."

Cyndi opened a drawer on her desk, pulled out another lap top, opening it she logged in and then picked up the disk and inserted it. Tapped a few keys and the results came up. After studying it for a few minutes looked at her two officers and swung the lap top to face them. "I'm seeing different clans and possibly another faction working on this weapon."

Tara looked at the readings and nodded "That's what I came up with. But why that computer?"

"It's got better graphics than my command one," Cyndi explained.

Lieutenant JG Dunjen was becoming concerned where the conversation was going. Dunjen sensed her frustration "Tread lightly Nix." she took a breathe before speaking "With respect Commodore shouldn't we be more concerned right now on what the weapon does? From what I can gather it's a torpedo type weapon that deploys antimatter.....this will destroy a Planet from the inside out and every living thing on it."

"I know, and yes I am very concerned," Cyndi said removing the disk and closing the lap top.

"Commodore, from what I was reading that weapon once deployed into a planet will begin it's destruction the minute it's activated. Size of the planet or moon will depend on how long it takes to destroy it," Tara said "I have a theory too, what if that thing can be deployed and then remotely activated, either now or say six months from now."

Nix was listening very carefully to their discussion when she heard Dunjen "We've seen this before haven't we" he asked "Yes we have" then she spoke up "Lieutenant Herculoid's theory is probably correct; I've seen this type of weapon before....years ago...but not on this scale" she explained before continuing "Their progress needs to be stopped and buy us some time while you sift through all the data to get a better handle on this weapon. With your permission I would like to go back down to the surface covertly and infiltrate the facility to plant a computer program to destroy all their research data.....that should slow them down for awhile and they won't know who was responsible."

"Permission granted, get some rest and return in the morning. Are you taking Herculoid with you? And just to ease your mind the computer I put the disk in you gave me is purely a science computer. It was a gift from one of my colleges a few months back. It's not one I use a lot," Cyndi replied.

"Thank you Commodore....I'll being going after twenty four hundred tomorrow....I need to do some prep work first and get my gear ready.....as much as I would like to take Herculoid along....I'll be sneaking in completely covert so I think this needs to be a solo mission" Nix explained knowing the dangers that lie ahead.

"I don't need to tell you I'd rather you take back up, but I also understand why you'd rather go alone. Your to report in every two hours and have the transporter room keep a lock on you at all times," Cyndi said leaving no room for argument.

Nix wasn't about to question the Cyndi's orders "Aye Commodore; I hope to be in and out of there quickly" she said with a smile "If we're all set here I have some prep work to do for the Mission."

Cyndi looked to Tara "Anything else to report?"

"No commodore I'm good," Tara said.

"Good work both of you, get some rest you've both earned it. Your good to go," Cyndi said.

And with that Tara and Nix departed Cyndi's Office and each went in different directions.
