Mission: Rescue On Romulus
Location: Main lounge
Timeline: current

ON:

Sitting in the lounge with his chair turned to look off into space Silk sipped his whiskey on the rocks and relaxed. Things were going to get ugly soon, he knew that without a doubt. He always trusted his gut feelings. He closed his eyes and spoke in his mind.

~Our Father who art in Heaven,
grant us safe passage through Romulan space,
keep all aboard safe from harm,
and grant us the wisdom to overcome should we fail.
Thy will be done,
Amen~

Opening his eyes he blinked a few times to return their focus, Nira standing over him as she had her legs spread in stance, enough to avoid standing on his outstretched legs crossed at the ankles. He hadn't even heard her approach. Sneaky little tart, he thought. "Hi, Nira. Ever heard of personal space."

Nira giggled and grabbed another chair, sliding it up next to his and plopping her arse in it, matching his sitting stance perfectly. "Oh, I need drink." She half turned and signaled the bartender, who brought her over an hourglass shaped metal stein filled with a red liquid. "Danku," she said as it was delivered. She readjusted to match him as she sipped her beverage.

"Bloodwine?" Asked Silk, his face scrunching up. "That stuff tastes like crap."

"Maybe I like crap," said Nira as she looked at him sideways. "Better than poosie drink."

"Pussy drink?" Silk couldn't help but chuckle as he looked over. "So, now I'm a pussy, huh?"

"Yupyup," she replied with a giggle. "Why all marine people worry over words? You know you not poosie, so why let other control your emotional content. Humans, always so touchy." She decided to change the subject. "Were you meditating?"

"Praying, actually." Answered Sean. "We'll need all the help we can get once we cross the border." Another sip.

"Hashem has already seen, already knows what will happen." Stated Nira. And, with the way she said it he didn't doubt that she believed it in her heart.

"Hashem? Your God's name is Hashem?" Silk sat up straight, the two of them scooting their chairs back to normal, but close enough that they could huddle-chat privately, and close enough that their knees touched onder the table. "The Jewish faith on Earth refers to God as Hashem."

"Seh seh," nodded Nira. "Hashem is what we call him, but it is not his name. To say name is vanity, so we use Hashem which means 'The Name'."

Silk was flabbergasted as he leaned back, sighing in contentment and a deep feeling of Security as he looked at his Puazi friend. "Hashem is what the Jewish folk call God on Earth, and for the same basic reason. It is a way to not offend the Almighty." He lightly hammered his fist on the table a few times in excitement. "Yet again He has revealed himself to be the one creator. Epic! Absolutely epic!"

Nira scrunched her brow in confusion. "Not all Human believe?"

"Sadly, no," admitted Sean. "A greater portion of the Human population in the galaxy chalk it up to mythology. I mean, with the ability to zoom through space the faith in the one true God dwindled. In their minds we reached the heavens so all that nonsense was no longer relavent. But, not me. I was raised in faith and I keep the faith. I have seen the Federation in conflict after conflict over the past decade. We are slowly being chewed up and we can't rebuild fast enough to save us from another prolonged war. We won't survive. And yet, here we are. The Adversary works in the shadows, and since Starfleet is a Human organization it stands to reason that we are a target for destruction."

"They sanctify no more," said Nira in a sad tone, shaking her head slightly. She pushed her bloodwine away, not really interested in it anymore. "Now you know that Humans aren't the only beings Hashem created in this multi-verse. Your directives are different than mine. I part with nasty secret," she grinned. "There are Humans in every galaxy. Every single one I have ever been to. In all my travels I never met any who showed faith in Hashem, as if they gave up or were never given details. Methinks that the Milky Way and Earth were specifically chosen by God for the Humans here. You are the caretakers of Earth yet you almost destroyed yourselves with war, false ideology, fake science and lack of faith."

"I know," stated Silk. "We're morons who think we can change the grand design He set forth. Not very wise and, self destructive." He began to note that as he continued speaking to Nira her broken English would come and go. He said nothing. It was a good defense mechanism, to put people at ease as they perceived you as a simpleton. "Anyway, my dear, I'm heading to the phaser range holosuite. Care to join me?"

"Seh seh," she said with a smile, standing quickly and putting her chair back properly. "I need distraction."

"As do I," responded Silk, the two of them leaving together.
