Mission: The Restroffs (Space Spiders)
Location: Captain's Ready Room
Timeline: Current

ON:

Saunders met outside the Captain’s ready room with Lt. Herculoid. The Amandora Science Officer. Saunders had met in the mess hall with Tara and discussed some science and engineering ideas.

Fascinating as the ideas maybe, they had wanted to run them by Captain Song as soon as possible. If they could help the situation with the Restroffs, one might be to hydro-phase the ablative armor of the craft with anti-matter coating. The Amandora would be in a better position to defend itself if things got bad.

“Lt. Herculoid.” Saunders greeted with a casual nod. “Shall we?” He gestured to the Captain’s ready room. Either way, they would be privy to an update from Captain Song.

"It's good to see you again," Tara said smiling at him "Let's go see the captain," Tara palmed the door sensor.

Cyndi hearing the door chime turned from the window "Enter!" she called out

Damien entered the room calm and relaxed as always. He stopped short in front of her desk, along with Tara. He gave a sharp and quick salute to Captain Song and then deferred to his Superior in the room.

"Captain," He turned towards Lt. Herculoid.

"At ease lieutenant," Cyndi said. "Please have seats and tell me what brings you two here." Cyndi walked to her desk and took a seat.

Tara walked over and took one of the two seats in front of the captain's desk "Captain Lieutenant Saunders and I met over lunch and we've discussed an idea that might work."
"Anything will help.What did you come up with?" Cyndi asked

Tara looked over at engineer "If we coat all these vessels in anti matter paste. Lieutenant Saunders can explain it better than I can but it has merit captain and it might just work."

Damien nodded. "It is a complex process, but nothing that cannot be done in time to see some real movement. We could shield ourselves from the Restroff Spiders, all the while extending the shields. This graviton mix would allow us to literally plow our way through the spiders, and or offer intimidation to help the other native plant species we are saving." He added.

"I have six engineers on stand by ready to start mixing the deuterium tanks and annondizer relays on the ablative armor. With the shields up, we can effectively allow the ship to be coated externally with minimal effort." Both Tara and Damien offered a way out of this hell hole of a situation.

Cyndi looked from the engineer to the science chief and nodded "Heculoid is right, your idea has merit and it will work. But my question is those spiders are a life form and I'd like to make sure this does not harm them.

"We've also promised to help them," Tara said

"As long as this will not harm them you have my permission to proceeded," Cyndi repled

Damien listened to Capt. Song. She was correct, and voice of reason in this situation. "Of course Capt. You have our word," He turned to Herculoid. "We can get to work immediately, and have options for you in about a few hours, maybe sooner."

"Make it so and keep me posted," Cyndi said

"We will captain," Tara assured her "And we won't harm them."
