There was one more round of tests Heather had to accomplish before Nix would be satisfied with her covert abilities.

As the two ladies stood in an empty room Nix went over the rules of the test "It's quite simple really, when the simulation starts you will be outside and will enter through the main door. Once inside you are to make your way across the vestibule, using what ever cover you can find, to a door. Once there open the door with a key code and go inside. Then you will exit said door and make your way back across the vestibule and exit the building. All this must be done without drawing attention to yourself to pass the test" Nix explained then handing her a coat and a vest "Here is a hooded coat, put the hood up and lower your head to hide your face" then Nix handed her a vest "Put this on; it has the basic Tech for the Op. Any questions."

There was a lot to remember along with the Tech "No I'm good" Heather replied as she looked through the vest to see what was there. All of it she had used before so no surprises there.

"One other thing before you start, there is no time limit so take your time. If you get called out then the Op is a failure...but no pressure" Nix stated with a grin as Heather nodded and smiled back.

"Computer initiate Dunjen Op One" came the request as the room now became another place. Nix would watch Heather's progress hoping that she would be successful.

Heather put her hood up and her head down a little while thinking "OK here goes" as she made her way to the door and went inside.

She looked around and saw the door across the vestibule while noticing quite a few floor to ceiling columns; these would be her cover.

By this time Heather's heart was racing so she closed her eyes for a moment and meditated to slow down her heart rate. Then she looked around and didn't see anyone looking her way as she made her way to the first column and hid behind it.....so far so good.

After a couple of minutes she made her way to the second column with the same result. Then she notice two guards standing by the next one talking but on the other side of it.

Heather snuck up behind the column and waited hoping not to be discovered but the two guards weren't leaving anytime soon. After a few moments Heather knew what she had to do....she reached in her vest and grabbed two sleeping darts, one in each hand, then stabbed the first guard in the neck then went back behind the column and stabbed the other one. Soon they were both on the floor as Heather dragged them behind the column.

Peeking around the column Heather saw the door.....but before she could make her move another guard walked over and stood in front of it....and just stood there. Heather had no way to neutralize him from her current position and didn't want to take a chance of being seen. Thinking for a moment she checked in her vest and found a few small metal balls which would serve her purpose. Grabbing two of the balls she tossed first one then another as they skipped across the marble floor...click...click...click. The guard look up and followed the balls as Heather dashed to the door, keyed in the code and zipped inside.

Once inside she drew a breath "Half way there....now I just need to get back across the vestibule and out the door" she thought to herself realizing things may get tougher now.

Heather took in a couple deep breaths through her nose then exhaled out her mouth when she heard whistling....and it was coming from the other side of the door. She grabbed another sleeping dart and opened the door then dispatched it into the guards neck....he went limp and Heather dragged him inside as the door closed.

Listening at the door for a moment it seemed clear....opening the door Heather grabbed a mirror and looked around both corners seeing the coast was clear.

Heather made her move and zipped to the next column then waited for a moment. Peeking around her cover making sure it was clear as she zipped to the next one.

This time when she looked around the column Heather could see the door....it was so close but so far away; but before she could move a group of four guards walked over and stood in front of the door talking and laughing.

"Oh great" Heather thought "Now what do I do" then she kept her calm and looked in her vest one more time trying to find something to use. Heather saw something that would work...a small explosive device with a delay timer.

Heather set the timer for eight seconds....activated it and gave it a good healthy toss away from the guards...then she waited. Moments later there was a small explosion with lots of smoke. The guards looked up at the noise and smoke then took off like a shot.

Heather made a mad dash for the door and as she exited the building she could hear the Computer "Op successfully completed" as the room returned to nothing but lines on all sides.

Nix walked over to Heather "Nicely done. I was intrigued by what Tech you used when, it shows your able to think on your feet in a given situation" she commented "Although you did use some of the things differently than I would have but in the end it worked."

"Thank you Nix, I appreciate your feedback" Heather replied "Although I did notice there really wasn't that much tech to use."

Nix just grinned "Yes that was done on purpose. I wanted to see if you could pace yourself and only use the provided Tech when you absolutely had to.....use it too much and you would have run out before the Op was completed" she explained.

Heather thought for a moment "So am I to assume on a real Op we would have enough Tech to get the job done" she queried.

"Now that you've passed all the tests, I'll start teaching you how to use all the Tech that I do and how to plan for any situation that you may encounter" Nix explained with a smile.

"So is there a lot to learn using this Tech" Heather asked.

"Some but not a lot.....but I think you'll be a quick learner since you do have some field experience" Nix stated then went on "I think we've had a very successful day so we'll start on the tech tomorrow. You'll be up to speed in no time at all."

Heather was very glad to hear Nix's projection and was eager to learn everything she needed to be able to be an effective Infiltration Specialist; and be of benefit to Nix. "That's good to know" she replied.

"Meet me in the Intelligence Area tomorrow at zero five hundred and we'll get started" Nix instructed with a smile "But for the rest of the day get some rest."

"Heather returned the smile "Thank you Nix and yes I'll meet you tomorrow then" she stated.

The ladies left the Holo Deck each going their separate ways and Heather was very interested in a nice hot shower and to let Jamie know about her achievement today.
