Tapping her com-badge "Lieutenants McTavish's this is the commodore please meet me at the pavilion."

James responded "On our way Commodore" then looking at Heather "Looks like the boss wants to see us."

"What did you do now James" Heather commented with a giggle as the two made their way to the pavilion.

"Commodore you wanted to see us" James queried not quite sure what this was all about.

Cyndi handed Heather the PADD containing the access codes, password and alarm settings for her shuttle. "I've translated my shuttle from the Klavorian language to Standard since there are only three aboard who can read it. There will be certain areas that I've not translated. The shuttle will be on the planet as long as I am."

Heather took the PADD "Thank you, I'll get started right away" then looking at James "The Lieutenant can help me prep specimen slides since he has nothing else to do at the moment" she commented with a smile knowing that James would be more than glad to help her.

"Lieutenant Herculoid will be doing her own research since Doctor Long told me what she's found and I'd like to see her compete her work,' Cyndi said "I have no problems with James helping you. Do you have any questions regarding my shuttle? It was a gift from my parents and it's crammed full of every science instrument and equipment known. You mentioned slides, did you bring a microscope with you?"

"No I did not....I didn't know I'd be doing field analysis" Heather replied with a smile "But from what you just said I assume you have one on board your Shuttle....if I may borrow it."

"That's one thing I don't have aboard. I have one in the main science lab that I use when I'm working on a project," Cyndi commented. "It's not that often that I'd need one off ship to keep one on it. I can call the ship and have mine beamed down. I should get one for the shuttle."

"That's not necessary Commodore, I can have one beamed down from Bio Lab 5.....although I'm not sure how much I'm going to be able to discover with just a regular microscope....but at least it'll be a start" Heather commented in a friendly tone.

"There is a spectro scope on it. If you know how to use it. If not Herculoid does, she used one when she got her PhD in science," Cyndi said.

Heather thought for a moment "With respect, I'm not sure that will give me enough magnification to be effective; but I'll try it and see" she replied anxious to get to work.

"You'd be surprised what kind of readings you'll get from mine," Cyndi said "About the only piece of equipment not on that shuttle of mine is a micro scope something I plan to remedy next time we're at a star base. If you have any questions regarding my shuttle or the equipment on it you can ask me or Paul."

"Thank you Commodore, I think I'm ready to get to work now" Heather replied with a smile.

"Shuttle's all yours," Cyndi replied "There are some systems I didn't translate to Federation, but you'll be able to access quite a bit on it. I only ask for copies of what you find."

"No problem Commodore, plus I'll be sending you full reports of my research as I progress" Heather replied.

"Good enough and I'll have Herculoid send James copies of what she's going to be working on. And if there is an area on my shuttle you cannot access and you need let me or Herculoid know, she has a minor in communications and languages," Cyndi said.

"Sounds good" Heather replied "I guess I better get to work then."

"And I've got to speak with Commander O'Connell," Cyndi replied

Heather nodded then turned to James "You ready" as Heather started for the Shuttle with James walking along beside her.
