ON:

After a day of showing Nira the sights around Paris, once the Puazi had finished reading the Meji directives and beliefs, the two women were escorted to the Council chamber. Both wore their full Starfleet uniforms, even Nira, with shoes and all. Over their shoulders they each donned the hooded cloak/robe, hoods left back and faces in the open. Green's cloak was a dark chocolate brown whereas Nira had gone with a really dark purple, both garments blending well with the black uniforms. Of course, these were the female form-fitting jumpsuit style instead of the tunic and pants set. Light belts were around their waists to hold any items they needed. Ro had her saber, Nira had her dual long-daggers. They entered the chamber and Green felt confident and at peace and could sense the same coming from Nira. Neither of them were nervous nor anxious.

The Andorian minister, Nashu, was there with his Council representative, and he was the man responsible for this meet. The Andorians, since hearing his tale, were more than willing to meet these Meji and form a bond with them. With Andorians it was combat skills and loyalty that mattered most and Ro had saved Nashu and his companions without a second thought, and then had allowed a great number of Romulan guards to survive. That held weight with the feisty blue-skinned people of Andor.

Nashu stood up as they entered, nudged by his own minister. "Meji Ro Green. Meji Nira." He was unfamiliar with the lavender skinned female but she wore the same duds as this Green, so she was accepted as one of her Order. "Allow me to welcome you both to the Federation Council chamber and and introduce you to those who represent a majority of the represented worlds. Ladies, gentlemen, and honored beings allow me to introduce a woman who will always remain a friend. This is Commander Rogue Green of the USS Amandora, who risked life and limb to rescue myself and my entourage from a Romulan prison. Along with her Starfleet companions Meji Ro showed courage, fortitude and honor as they risked their own lives to free us from that horrible place." He sat down after that introduction, nodding to Green as he did so.

With the introduction stated, and a long table set before the President with two chairs which the ladies sat down in side by side, the Q & A began. It went back and forth for hours. Questions were asked and answers were given. But, as it was coming to an end Ro and Nira could tell they had swayed the Council, and the President. Also, brought in as a character witness, was Rear Admiral Aaron Stone, who now sat among those at the President's table.

Stone had a slight grin on his face as he sat forward and looked Green in the eye. "Commander Green, if I may. You are the founder of this Order you are proposing. Which makes you what?"

"Meji Master Ro, that's who." Nira popped that out with no qualms.

Aaron gave ight stink eye before looking back at Green. "Well, I'm waiting."

"Did Nira's answer confuse you, Admiral?" Ro asked, with a tidbit of snark. "My title, to the other Meji currently in the Order, is Master. It is a title everyone in the galaxy should get used to hearing. Chief Nira and Lieutenant Kahn are acolytes, for lack of a better title at this time."

The President did a good job of hiding her grin, but not completely. "Admiral, she already said that her rank is for Starfleet. As time goes by and the Meji grow in number, then titles will be honored the same as we honor the Bajoran titles and beliefs, or any other religious exercises."

"Of course, Madame President," Stone responded. He didn't go into the fact that Ro was, for all intents and purposes, his daughter. He did rescue her from Rigo IV, then became her guardian before he officially adopted her. But, living for years by herself as a child and surviving the loneliness of a destroyed colony, Rogue had picked her own last name so as not to ride his coat tails to success. "Just needed to hear her response. And, it seems you have garnered serious loyalty from Chief Nira, there."

Ro raised her eyebrows a moment. "That tends to happen when one faces life and death together, for the betterment of all."

"I am Minister Sakir of Vulcan," announced one of the Vulcan delegates. "You claim that this Core provides you with the powers of telekinesis, telepathy, extra-sensory perceptions, all of that. Yet, we have seen no evidence of this power you say you wield."

"I prefer another name for it, from elsewhere out there." Said Green. "The Force, or Core," she motioned politely to acknowledge this Sakir as she spoke. "Is what gives the Meji their power. It is an energy field created by all life, all living things. It surrounds us, it penetrates us. It binds the galaxy, and the multi-verse together through that energy. Without life there is nothingness. So, with that in mind Minister Sakir, it is not some toy to be used to show off or play with. Would you be so kind as to perform a mind meld for me, right now at this moment? I mean, I've never seen one done myself so how do I know it even works? You show off first, then I will 'consider' entertaining you."

Sakir gave a nod, with eyes that remained neutral. "Fair point, Commander Green. Mind-melds are not something we do all the time and, are hesitant to perform even when the need is great."

Ro gave a nod of understanding and equal respect to the man. "In time Mister Sakir, I would find it agreeable to come and visit Vulcan, to delve into spirituality with your people. Perhaps the Meji could provide aid in communing with Katras that have gone silent." That garnered a raised eyebrow from the Vulcan, a look of contemplation appearing on his face as he went quiet.

The meeting continued for another hour before closing. The Meji Order was recognized as a religion and a way of life. And, anyone calling themselves a Meji, without becoming a member of the Order, would face the laws of the Federation. Without Meji consent one could not be a member for they chose their own members with no government intervention. Nira and Green left the chamber after staying and chatting casually with quite a few council members. All were curious, asking questions as to the how and what for joining. All this was a bit much at this time since they had just established the foundation. And, if Lucas Jones kept his word then Tython would be the seat of Meji power. Members from all walks of life with all types of skills, building their own temple and living quarters within. All in good time.

Once the Council started to leave the chamber Minister Nashu caught up with Ro and Nira, inviting them to the Andorian embassy to meet his wives and children. Rogue agreed but explained that they would need to get back to Amandora soon, so her visit would have to be short-lived. Nashu understood, smiling as he led them through Paris.
