After polishing off half of the bottle of wine Jamie looked over at Heather "Maybe we should have dinner before we get totally blitzed"
he stated.

Heather grinned "I think you're right on both counts, I'm feeling pretty good right now" she replied.

Jamie got up off the couch and went in the Kitchen. He grabbed some spuds, a nice steak and a ripe tomato then set to making dinner for them both. Shortly he walked back out to the living area with smashed potatoes, a medium cooked steak, and some slices of fresh tomatoes as he handed Heather a plate then sat.

She smelled the food "This smells so good and real food, not replicated" then she tasted her meal "Oh Jamie this is delicious....you need to cook more often" she said with a grin.

"I'm glad you like it...but don't get too used to it" he replied with a chuckle. The couple sat and enjoyed their meal while having casual conversation.

After dinner they gathered up the dishes and went out into the kitchen to wash everything up then put the things away. Even though this place now belonged to them, they still wanted to keep everything neat and tidy.

Heather turned around just in time to find herself in Jamie's embrace "Have I told you lately just how much I love you" he stated with a smile as he held her in his arms.

"No.....but you know I never get tired of hearing it" she replied then gave him a very passionate kiss "And I love you too."

The couple then went back into the living area, with a fresh glass of wine, and sat on the couch "Computer.....play some smooth jazz music...volume set at four" Jamie stated Then moments later some very relaxing music filled the room as they sipped their wine.

"I think I've had enough wine for one evening" Heather commented then cuddled up next to Jamie "You know I could really get used to being here with you....just the two of us" as she reached up and kissed Jamie's neck.

"So could I.....being here with you is just what I needed after all we've been through lately" he replied being very content and at peace for the moment.

While the music continued to play they both drifted off to sleep until the wee hours of the morning before making their way into the bedroom.
