Posted on Sat Jul 30th, 2022 @ 2:39pm by Captain Alesha Rivers

Mission: Shore Leave On Starbase Mercury
Location: Alesha's Mother's Ship-The Torga
Timeline: Current

ON:

Alesha as soon as she found out the ship was heading for Starbase Mercury had sent a message to her mother asking if possible if she could make it out to the Mercury. A response had come almost right away. It seemed Marlaina was not going to be that far away.

Alesha changed into a pale green dress that fell just above her knees, the hem was ruffled, she’d sent word to her mother’s ship once the Amandora had docked and what docking ring the ship was in. Alesha had received a message that her mother would be waiting for her once everything was set and the crew cleared for leave.

Alesha walked from the ship and upon seeing her mother walked over and hugged her tightly I’m so glad to see you.”

“Your message sounded strange, is everything okay?” Marlaina asked reverting to their native language as she placed her arm around her daughter’s waist

“No mum, it’s not okay, I really don’t belong on a Federation ship. Like you when you commanded the West Wind, you never went to Starfleet and they were hard on you until you finally had enough and resigned and went home. The only reason I’m on that ship is because you and dad rescued me from that Romulan Warbird a few years ago and I let you and dad talk me into staying with Starfleet,” Alesha commented as they walked to her mother’s ship, the Torga, the flagship of the Amazon Government and boarded it.

Marlaina led the way to her quarters, they took seats as Marlaina handed Alesha glass of Amazon Brandy “And you think it’s a mistake because you’ve never been through Starfleet? Alesha, Narla would not let you be there in the position you hold if she didn’t think you could do the job. She’d pull you off fast. I’ve seen the reports on you as she shows me everything where you’re concerned.”

“Then why do I feel like I don’t belong there?” Alesha asked taking a sip of her drink

“Because Fera you were trained in our ways and taught to think on your feet, you’ve been in the military since you were thirteen, that’s eight years. In my opinion you’ve more than proven yourself. I can’t tell you what to do but I will say this. Think on this, I’ll remain in dock until the Amandora leaves. If at that time you still want to call it quits and leave you can go with me,” Marlaina said “Stay the night here, it’s neutral ground and if your ship needs you they can contact you.”

Alesha nodded after a few minutes “Okay mum, I’ll stay and think on it.

“That’s my girl, your dad and I didn’t raise you to be a quitter, let’s go onto the base and get a bite to eat and do some shopping,” Marlaina suggested

“I’d like that mum” Alesha said as she finished her drink
