[Amandora]

{Quarters}

Once James returned from the Bridge, Heather had lunch ready since James had left early to finalize things in his Office without breakfast.

"So I guess we're all set to leave except for the packing of course" Heather commented as they were eating lunch.

"I think so, the Office and any paperwork is all done; I also went to the Bridge to pick up something of mine. Tara was talking to a young women who is the new Crewman Apprentice" James replied "Plus I said good-bye to Tara in the Office and she says she'll miss you and wishes us well."

"Awe, that's so sweet....I really liked Tara and I'll miss her too" Heather stated "So did you meet the new person at all?"

"No, I was going to but figured why bother since we're going to be out of here soon; besides Tara was handling things just fine" James replied.

So after lunch they set to the task of packing up their things. James had already ordered one large crate for their clothes and personal items and a smaller crate for the household items.

As they were packing things up Heather looked at James "You know I never thought we'd be doing this so soon" she commented.

"Ya I know what you mean.....but I am getting rather excited about starting our new life together....aren't you" James replied with a smile.

"Oh absolutely, I'm really looking forward to the change and our new place to live; hopefully for a long time to come" Heather replied with a grin.

Some time later everything was packed up except for two clean uniforms and a go-bag with some personal items they would need for the trip back to Earth. Now that the crates had been tagged and pickup by the Cargo hold crew they would relax until they arrived at the Base and in the meantime go out to dinner.

{Star Base Pegasus}

James had contacted Admiral Pierce to let him know they had arrived and to their delight their transportation had already arrived ahead of them and was waiting.

Once they disembarked from the Amandora they made their way to Docking Port 12 where a Delta was waiting for them and seeing the size of the Ship James couldn't believe how much bigger it was than he had imagined; since he had never been on one before.

As they neared the Delta a Lieutenant was waiting for them at the bottom of the ramp "Hello you must be the McTavish's.....I'll be your Pilot.....Lieutenant Ames....welcome aboard and if you'll step this way we'll get underway soon" he commented with a smile.

"Lieutenant Ames it's nice to meet you....I'm James and this is my lovely wife Heather" he replied with a smile just before they went aboard.

{Delta}

Once aboard they stowed their bag and grabbed their seats as the Pilot boarded then sat to do his preflight. When everything was in order Ames turned to the couple "There is a bathroom in the back as well as a replicator in case you get hungry or would like something to drink so please feel free to use the amenities at your convenience" then he turned and tapped his Comm "This Delta twelve ready for departure Base."

"Your go for departure Delta twelve...safe travels" came the response.

Then the Lieutenant called out to the couple "Once we clear the markers we'll be traveling at Warp 6.5 and should be back to Earth in about twelve hours so sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride."

James was thinking and had a strange look on his face as Heather asked "What's wrong sweetheart, you look kind of off at the moment."

He let out a long sigh "My only regret in leaving so quickly is that we didn't get a chance to say good-bye to the O'Connells; I'm going to miss them" he explained.

"I know James but there's not much we can do about it with both of them being on another Ship and us having to leave so quickly.....I'm sure they'll understand" she commented.

Then Heather looked at James as she smiled " I love you James McTavish and I'm very excited as we start this new chapter in our lives together" she stated as she put here arm around his and placed her head on his shoulder.

James smiled "Right back at you Heather McTavish" then he kissed the top of her head. Now they were on their way towards a new life together.
