#75 Being 'Number One'

Several hours before arriving Commander Green had put out the XO missives that all personnel prepare to disembark the ship, if they were not planning to stay while the repairs were done. Each department received their orders to close down their portion, except engineering, and to lock out access through passcodes. Security would deal with any needs for passcodes to be accessed to open areas for the base repair teams. Engineering would need to convene with the base personnel, and the CEO would thereafter do what was necessary.

Within the allotted hours the departments came back that they were ready for docking protocols, even Lieutenant Kirk, now as the acting chief of StratOps. After receiving those reports Green le the crew know that it was leave time until recalled by the command staff, and to enjoy themselves and to be safe in doing so. She signed off as XO on all the reader boards.

Having done her part as Number One, Ro left the Bridge Observation Lounge/Briefing Room, heading to her quarters to pack a couple of bags for her trip to Rigo IV with Kirk and some of their friends. Nira would not be flying with them, and she and Silk would not say why, only that Nira needed to go 'home' for a spell. 'Home' being the Andromeda Galaxy and her homeworld of Puaza. After Nira had aided in getting Security ready and established, she had opened her Eldritch portal and stepped through, after a lengthy goodbye to her mate. They were hiding something, Green could sense that, but it was not anything dark or dangerous just...private. She could glean no more than that without asking, and since it was none of her business since Nira was on leave, she let it go.
