Commander O'Connell was still waiting patiently to get underway towards the Star Base. Trace, now Captain West, had asked to return to the Amandora since he was the acting CO for the Marines and he really wasn't needed here any longer so was given permission to return.

"Commander O'Connell we've just received the coordinates for Star Base Pegasus.....Warp 5 was indicated" Comms informed the Commander.

"Good send the coordinates directly to Helm....Helm plot in the course" O'Connell ordered tapping his Comm "Attention Crew we'll be getting underway momentarily....Engineering we go to go?"

"Absolutely Commander....Warp Core is hot and ready to go Sir."

"All set Commander awaiting your command" Helm responded.

"Engage" O'Connell had given the order as the Ship moved forward "Warp 5 if you please Helm" then the Ship lunged forward and the stars had become just a blur.

"Helm how long before we reach the Star Base" O'Connell queried.

"About four hours Sir at present velocity" Helm responded.

Jamie sat back in his chair relaxing until they arrived at their destination when he heard a familiar voice "Commander mind if I sit beside you" Heather asked with a smile.

Jamie smiled back "Not all Lieutenant, please make yourself comfortable" he commented then leaned in and whispered "I'm so very proud of you Lieutenant."

Heather whispered back "Thank you Commander but you can show me how proud of me you are when all this is over" as she gave him a wink.

"Count on it" Jamie replied with a grin.
