After seeing Doctor Long, Ainkara proceeded to the Science department, having a look around at the compartments for such. Memorizing where everything was she then exited and made her way to the lab that had been assigned to her, stepping inside and seeing that it was of adequate size. Nothing compared to the main med lab or the main science lab, but it was well within her needs. And , this being a Galaxy class, she was sure that all the tertiary labs aboard would be sizeable in comparison to other ship classes. First thing was making sure to enter into the logs that this was her lab, the one she would work from when not with others elsewhere, inputting her own lockouts and passcodes.

Completing that task, Ainkara then turned and began to arrange the laboratory how she would like it set up. Ease of movement was always a plus when doing experiments and research. As the Voran were accustomed to; work smarter, not harder. Whether by mistake or intention, the lab she had been granted for use was was adjacent to Stellar Cartography on Deck 9, which she found most agreeable. Astronomy was a hobby of hers, one she truly delved into. Mapping the stars and looking to constellations was the best form of navigation, in her opinion. Computers and sensors can fail, but the stars were a constant. Even if one went nova, the light would be seen for a generation before it winked out, which still left all the other stars around it as navigational points. That, and she studied star charts and the stars themselves to try and piece together some kind of trail to follow to find her people. If they were out there she had promised herself that she would not stop looking as long as she drew breath.
