The next four hours had gone by smoothly which was a welcome relief consider what had happened. Cyndi had taken a couple hours to rest. She didn’t know how tired she’d been. The ship had been left in the qualified hands of her executive officer and her yeoman. Most of the battle damage had been repaired all that was needed now was for external damage to be repaired and the ship’s systems checked from bow to stern.

Cyndi stepped onto the bridge and watched her people who were hard at work. “Report,” she called out.

“I was just going to contact you commodore, Star Base Pegasus is on the outer marker now,” came the response,

“Signal Commander O’Connell and inform him,” Cyndi said taking her seat. “Communications hail the base and inform them we’ve suffered battle damage and will need repairs. Helm take us out of warp, thrusters only,”

“Message sent to the commander, Star Base acknowledges and repair crews will be standing by. We’re to dock in docking ring G521,” communications relayed.

“Helm take us in,” Cyndi ordered “Extend docking rings, standby umbilical supports,”

The docking process took only a few minutes. The ship glided into the docking ring and the docking clamps engaged with a slight bump.

“Umbilical supports attached,” Helm responded

“Good work everyone, shut the engines down,” Cyndi said “Open ship wide speakers,”

“You’re on commodore,”

“All hands we’ve docked at Star Base Pegasus, standard shore leave rotation in effect. Department heads I need your reports and supply requests before you leave the ship, Base personal will be coming aboard to check the ship over due to our recent attack. Your to cooperate fully with them,” Cyndi ordered “Secure all stations.”

“All stations secure,” came the response a few minutes later.

“Security, see to it that the air lock between us and the base are opened and manned.” Cyndi said leaning back. Grateful she had a yeoman to do most of the mundane paperwork leaving her to deal with the major work. She also knew she could be in hot water for the damage done to the ship. Looking at Ro.
