{Deck 1 - Bridge}

With both the Commodore and the Executive Officer off Ship the Command fell to Commander O'Connell; which he seemed to getting a lot of lately.

Jamie walked onto the bridge "Report" came the order as he grabbed the center seat. There were only a few Crew manning things since the Amandora was docked.

"Not much to report Commander" Helm responded "Repairs are still underway but they should be completed in a few more days. The Station Chief will notify us just before they're finished."

"Good that'll give us time to call back the Crew so we can get underway" O'Connell replied "If your good here I have some reports to go over."

"All set Commander; if anything changes I will notify you right away" came the response.

"Then I'll be on my way" Jamie replied with a smile then he got up from his chair and made his way to the Ready Room.

{Deck 5 - Main Lab}

Lieutenant Zolon wanted to tour the different Labs today and decided to start with the Main Lab. Walking in she spoke in a clear voice "Good morning everyone, please allow me to introduce myself.....I'm Lieutenant Cassandra Zolon the new Science Chief" she stated when all eyes turned to her.

Moments later a young Lieutenant walked up to her "Ma'am, I'm Lieutenant Armen Hunt the new head Biologist.....welcome and it's nice to meet you.

Cassandra smiled "Lieutenant it's nice to meet you too" she commented "Even though you're the head Biologist, Lieutenant Herculoid will be overseeing this Lab" she commented wanting to get the chain of command setup right from the start.

"Yes, that's correct. She informed me of that when I came aboard and quite frankly I'm just fine with that arrangement. That'll give me more time to focus on any research" Armen replied.

"Excellent to hear" as she then addressed the others "I'm going to come around to meet each of you individually so please continue with whatever you're doing. Then Cassandra spent the next hour meeting everyone of her staff and had a good feeling about the work being done here then she turned and left for another Lab.

{ Deck 12 - Astrometrics}

Walking into the Lab Cassandra made herself known and asked who was heading up the Lab when a women walked up to her "Greetings, I'm Lt. JG Nata and I oversee this Lab, it's nice to meet you Lieutenant" she stated with what passed for a smile.

"Ah Lieutenant JG Nata it's nice to meet you as well. I see you're Klingon by species....so how do you find Star Fleet" Cass queried.

"I like Star Fleet just fine and enjoy my work. My parents adopted me when I was very young and they both were members of Star Fleet so I guess I come by it naturally" Nata replied with a grin to put the Lieutenant at ease.

"I meant no disrespect by my comment and it was nice of your parents to adopt you and teach you about the Federation" Cass replied hoping she wasn't getting off to a bad start.

"None taken Lieutenant" she responded "Here let me show you around and introduce you to everyone." Cass smiled as the two walked around touring the Lab and meeting everyone.

When they were finished "Lieutenant JG Nata I'll be popping in every now and then for a visit and see what's going on here. If there's anything you need please let me know. I'll be going to Deck 15 next" she commented then left the Lab.

{Deck 15 - Anthropology}

Lieutenant Zolon walked in noticing how small the Lab was then introduced herself to everyone. A women walked up to her "Lieutenant it's a pleasure to meet you, I'm Lt.JG Lana Peck....I head up this Lab" she stated with a smile.

Lieutenant Zolon smiled "It's nice to meet you as well" she commented "You know you're the second Betazoid women I've met since being aboard."

Lana smiled "You must be referring to Lieutenant Devroe, we've only met once but she seems very nice" she commented "Perhaps you'd like me to show you around and introduce you to everybody."

"Yes Lieutenant Devroe is quite nice and yes I'd like to meet everyone" Cass replied as the two went around the Lab which didn't take very long since there weren't that many working in the Lab.

"Thank you for the tour. If you need anything please let me know. I'm off to one more Lab" Cass stated with a smile then turned and left for her final destination.

{Deck 31 - Stellar Cartography}

Lieutenant Zolon walked into the Lab and repeated her previous statements when a young man walked up to her "Hello, I'm Ensign Gin Levoe head of the Cartography Lab" he stated with a smile "Welcome Lieutenant."

"Ensign It's nice to meet you" she commented noticing he was Bajoran by his ear adornments "So how is the mapping coming along."

"Quite well actually" he replied "Here let me show you around so you can meet my Staff" as the two started around the Lab.

Their first stop was the Computer "We use the Computer continuously, Oscar say hello to Lieutenant Cassandra Zolon our new Chief Science Officer" Gin stated waiting for a response from his new boss.

"Greetings Lieutenant Cassandra Zolon and welcome aboard. I was notified upon your arrival" Oscar commented "I hope you find the Lab satisfactory."

Cass was a little surprised as she turned to Gin and mouthed "Oscar?" then tuned back "A...it's nice to meet you Oscar and yes I find the Lab to be most satisfactory."

The Ensign couldn't help but chuckle "Lieutenant we use the Computer so much I had the Specialist from Engineering give it somewhat of a personality just to make things a little more interesting; I hope you don't mind."

Cass smiled "No not at all....I was just a little surprised but if it works for you then I'm fine with it" she replied with a grin.

"Thank you Ma'am, it does make life a little more enjoyable" Gin responded with a grin of his own.

After the tour and meeting the rest of the Staff Cass commented "Thank you for everything and if you need anything please let me know. I will stop by from time to time to see how you're progressing with the mapping."

"Any time Lieutenant, you're always welcome" the Ensign replied noticing how beautiful the new CSO was.

Cassandra smiled then turned to go back to her Office to check on any reports that may have come in.

All in all Cassandra felt pretty good about her Staff and looked forward to getting to know each one better as well as working together.
