Mission: BUGS OH NO!!
Location: USS Euphrates
Timeline: current

ON:

The USS Euphrates arrived in orbit over Rigo IV, and as everyone breathed a sigh of relief with smiles on their faces, Green was less so. During the hours it took to get here she had gone into a bunk and closed the seclusion wall, going into deep meditation. There was a feeling gnawing at her being, something she needed to try and see to. During her meditation she began to get flashes in her mind of the asteroid base-ship that Jynxza had had the Singularity drive on. Though she should see a cold, desolate space as they had left it Ro was seeing a place alive with power from yet another singularity drive. This needed to end.

So, upon arrival, Green quoted several regulations and took command of the Euphrates, telling the others to enjoy their leave and that she had a 'thing' that Starfleet Intelligence needed her to look into. Ro could tell her story was about as bouyant as a led zeppelin. But, they did not argue and she beamed them down to Kirkland, promising to join them soon enough. Once they were gone Green set course for the asteroid and the busted up star system it was hidden within.

During the journey Green had changed into her Meji garments, her saber securely hooked to her belt. Whatever she had been feeling, and still was, was not Starfleet business, nor was it Federation business. This was a personal and religious affair so there was no need to include armadas or governments. Piloting through the tunnel system, which was still deactivated and had no residual power readings, either. Coming up into the shuttle landing bay, seeing that same Romulan runabout they had taken the babies from, Ro landed her own runabout on another pad. Going through shutting down sequence Ro glanced at the atmospherics for outside, seeing a standard atmosphere and warmth for most humanoid species. Someone was home. Cracking open the port forward hatch Green stepped down and to the deck, letting the hatch close and lock behind her. She was in no hurry, walking casually and allowing the Core--no, The Force, to expand her senses to include a great many things. She felt the one presence she would never be able to forget. Jynxza.

Making her way through the complex Green made her arrival to the central core, there now being four bridges and several other added platforms with their own consoles and stations for personnel. Who would operate them under the Overseer's leadership? A good question but, one for another time...if she got the chance to ask. Stopping along one of the bridges after a six meter in-roads, Ro took the ready stance as she unhooked her saber with her right hand and held the hilt down at her side at the ready. "Jynxza! "Do you ever learn? You are the bear who can't help herself and has to circle back around to see what's next."

Jynxza had been utterly startled by the sudden voice out of nowhere. All she had had as an audio companion was the thrum from the newly installed singularity drive. Her well-practiced Core use had her remain stoic as she stood to face that familiar voice, her own hilt now in hand. "And I tire of your endless crusade! Let me go. I want nothing further from this portion of the galaxy. There is more out there to be had. I will find a place where we can live and grow. To claim our place in this galaxy."

"Do you hear yourself?" Green was truly asking, not being flippant. "To claim your place? What is there to claim? You are who you are and you will teach your children the same. To be proud, to be strong, and to be noble most of all."

"Noble?" Jynxza gave a derisive cackle. "You mean noble like Section 31? Or, noble like a Starfleet admiral who worked with criminals to destroy the Bakku? No, dear Sister, I want nothing to do with that kind of noble. I will take mine at the tip of my blade and all who oppose me will be shown the error of their ways." Her head cocked, a look of sudden epiphany blazing in her eyes before they squinted in frustration. "You came her to end me! My assassin shows her face!"

Green had no idea where that all came from, but by the look in those eyes this was going to end in a fight. Her body readied itself as she allowed herself to become one with the Force. "I am here to stop you, yes. Violence was not on my mind, Jynxza."

"Liar!" Jynxza's blade sprang to life as she stepped in and began to attack.

As Jynxza ignited her blade Ro did the same, fighting defensively using the Soresu form of saber combat. As she did so her eyes caught a glint from Jynxza's left hip and darted there. On her hip was Zenni's saber, the one Green had handed to Kirk. She pushed it back in her mind and refocused her active senses to the fight. Two whirling, sparking domes of crimson and blue swirled around the combatants as they defended and attacked, the blades moving so fast as to be a blur to the eyes. Small, light strikes as they tested each other's combat styles and techniques. Then, as was to be expected Jynxza was the first to go for physical prowess as she did a reverse somersault up and away from Green, landing perfectly on another station platform. Green followed with her own forward somersault, coming down in defense against a nasty slash Jynx gave as she landed. Two of the platforms behind Jynx had stations that were still being assembled so there were storage boxes and crates on them. Green gave an overhand blow which Jynx easily blocked, which was the idea. Ro pushed her off and back and in that moment of reprieve she hurled a tool box at the back of Jynx's head.

Jynxza whirled as she felt her danger sense and saw the tool box coming. She slashed it in half down the middle as she ducked, with Green giving an offhand waving to make the debris go awry and not hit herself. But, that again gave her the advantage as she stepped in and began a relentless assault. It took all Jynx had to keep up with the assault, so focused on Ro's blade was she that it took a few glances to realize that Green's eyes had gone to an amber color. A deep amber color. That meant that Rogue Green would hold nothing back for victory.

Ro could feel the spittle and drool running from the corners of her mouth as she continued to assault Jynxza's defense. In her mind's eye she could see and feel the pain of a saber stuck through her middle, through her torso the last time they had met. Now, Rogue was determined to skewer Jynxza, to make her pay for all the pain and frustration over the past few years. This was why the Meji existed, to cleanse the galaxy of filth like Jynxza.

Backing away as she defended Jynxza began to go down one of the side passages, deflecting and dodging out of the way of Green's strikes, some of which left burnt and melted gouging slash marks in the walls, so determined was Ro to cut her in half with a single blow. Regaining her stance and strength Jynxza blocked a strong slash from Green, the blades connecting and being held together as the two looked at each other in the kaleidoscope of sparks and crimson and blue light, the thrumming twice as loud as the blades worked to separate from each other with a crackling sound of power. "Your power has grown, Sister. But, I tire of you."

Green's only response was an evil grin as she used the Force to shove Jynx backwards and away, readying herself for another go around. She was hit full force along the front of her body by an unseen force and thrown back ten meters, impacting a wall with her back and landing unsteadily on her feet. It took a millisecond and Jynxza was on her, blow after blow being deflected and forced away, the battle now joined with both of them determined to end the other.

Half an hour went by as the sounds of clashing sabers never lessened. One could have followed their progress through the complex by the damage from saber slashes in the walls and flooring, where the tips of the sabers had cut along the walls and deck plates with no hinderance from the objects struck. Back in the central core Green had pushed Jynx back and onto another platform. Both ladies stepped apart and deactivated their sabers, breathing heavily from their combat as they gathered their second wind, pacing back and forth before each other.

"It seems you have met your match, Master Ro." Jynx saw the look thrown her way. "Yes, yes, I know all about your Meji Order. Tell me, Master, how will you explain your inexplicable need to kill me to your students. I mean, that is your goal here today is it not? To destroy me!"

"I'll do what I have to," responded Green, her eyes losing their amber coloring and cooling back down to her natural blue. It still did not take away from the fact that she was here to end the threat of Jynxza, whatever that may entail. "I will look after your children, sister. The truths I relay to them will be from..." she gave a grin meant to illicit a response. "A certain point of view."

Jynxza stopped her pacing, facing Ro head on, even giving her hand a little flick motion as she ignited her saber. Speaking of her children had goaded her into a rage. "I will kill them myself after I kill you!" Leaping over to the main walkway, Green igniting her saber to defend as the assault began, Jynx pressed the attack.

As a powerful slash came in Green deflected it away harder than previously done, exposing Jynxza's chest enough to give her a heel kick to the torso. Backed by the Core/Force the kick was enough to send most people to Sickbay, but Jynxza recovered well, doing a backwards somersault with the momentum and landing on her feet. Not giving her a chance to renew her attack, Green began her own attack, this time focused on knowledge and defense rather than anger and aggression. Suddenly, her own Sense a little too late, Green got slammed from the side by a cargo crate. It sent her tumbling across the floor and rolling into a wall, her saber extinguished so as not to cut something off while she tumbled. Seeing Jynx leaping at her Green then sent the same crate smashing into her nemesis, tossing the Chulakan back several meters with the collision, her body going ass over tea kettle as she too doused her blade momentarily.

Green charged in, saber coming to life at the same time as Jynxza's, the plasma blades connecting and bouncing off of each other as they sparked and sizzled. Jynxza locked blades and spoke through them. "You have hate! You have anger! Use them, Ro! It is the only way to destroy me!"

Shoving Jynx back enough to renew her attack, Ro had no time for words. Another opening presented itself but this time Green chose to use the Force instead of a heel kick, her hand coming out in an open palm pose as the invisible force hit Jynxza center mass and sent her flying backwards for eight meters, impacting a solid wall hard enough to jar her momentarily. Ro charged forward and feigned a swing one direction. When Jynx went to react, to block the deadly blue blade, Green switched it up at the last moment. Her own saber did a swirling motion around Jynxza's crimson blade, making contact enough to keep the Chulakan's attention, even as the finale was an upward stroke that sliced through Jynxza's right wrist, severing the hand as the saber closed down and fell to the floor along with the grisly appendage.

"Aaaargh!!!" Shouted Jynxza as she clasped her severed arm, still smoldering but perfectly cauterized. She let breathes in and out quickly, trying to stave off the pain, but it was difficult.

"You are beaten," said Green, her cloud blue saber blade pointing at Jynxza's face as the woman was down on one knee. "I could end it here! Now! We are sisters, you and I, brought together by purpose. Yet, here you are, swallowed by darkness. Let go of your hatred, Jynxza!"

Jynxza, acutely aware of how close the blue blade was to her face, got to a standing position slowly and cautiously, spittle on her lips as she winced in pain. "For what? A cell somewhere nice, with a view of a barren asteroid and the stars beyond? No thank yo..."

Green felt the rush of the Core through her Sense, and realizing what was going to transpire she did a pirouette as Jynxza's saber hilt came off the floor on a direct course for Jynx's left hand. It never made it, instead arcing passed the opened hand as the Core was closed off. Ro had spun around in place and sliced through Jynxza's neck, severing her head that quickly, the body crumpling to the floor as the skull fell with it and rolled a foot before stopping. The moment it was done, the fight ended permanently, Green closed down her saber and fell to her knees as tears rolled down her cheeks. "It is done, Sister. Be at peace now."

Collecting herself enough to function Green took up Jynxza's saber and Zenni's old one. Leaving the asteroid alone, not her business, Ro went and checked the Romulan runabout, finding it empty with no one else there. Jynxza had seen to the safety of her children, wherever they may be. Ro's guess; Chulak.

Nothing further to be done here Green boarded the Euphrates and lifted off, exiting the asteroid complex into open space and warping out for Rigo IV. Now, she could relax enough to enjoy what her old colony world had to offer.
